    unable to log in (PS4 ver)

    for the past couple of days I have run into a error message (it is cut off so i can not read it), it blocks my ability to log in and I have done everything I can think to fix the issue. My game and system are both up to date, I never had this problem before and I was able to fix it somehow (maybe I just waited long enough?) and it allowed me to log in. I had no further issues.
    I assumed I had fixed my issue but now when I try and log in it is the same error message and since I do not know what I did to fix it the first time I can not replicate it.

    Any help or advice is welcome

    I've seen the same issue mentioned in the Resolved Issues section of the Japanese forums.

    Here are the translations. The menu names might be different. It looks like the second method is simpler.
    On your PS4 console, go to the home screen: Settings → System Browser → Options → Settings
    Select both Delete Cookies and Clear Website Data
    I also occasionally experience cases where the ID, password, and one-time password input fields do not appear. In such cases, I open any topic within the launcher and then go back — which, for the PS4 version, effectively acts as a "reload" — to make the input fields appear.

    Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    The issue you are describing is most associated with interference with the game data. Most of the time, it results from certain security/privacy changes on PSN web browser. Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN Browser. This can be done by going to the web browser on the PS4, press the options button, then go to settings. The options for Cookies and Javascript will most likely be checked, uncheck them and then recheck them.
