As far as tattoos go, it's not part of gear but the 'Legacy Mark' (also known as 'the Mark of the Twelve') is also a unique aspect of the game. Alas that is unatainable and only available on characters that were originally created in the original 1.0 version of the game and then transferred into ARR - new characters created on Legacy/1.0 accounts do not get the mark. Also the tattoo can only be seen if gear is not obscuring it (and can be made to appear and disappear at will by using the '/lmark' command).

But it's still something that is in the game so I trhought it worth mentioning.

The Warden's Vambraces from The Warden set at the mogstation has nails, can dye.
LVL 100 Dancer set has toenails that can be dyed.
