The problem with them is they're tied to the field operations, maybe if you could do them without having to do any of Eureka, Bozja or CC...
Implementing an extreme dungeon finder version would be fairly simple, just make minimum item level sync mandatory and the players queuing will make it extremely for you.
A fairly decent chunk of the population has probably never done all of the alliance raids as they were on release day. I can imagine it now… “I never knew this raid had mechanics like this!”
Try the Tower raid in Occult Crescent: South Horn.
Having an extreme version of alliance raid might actually get me to do alliance raids again. That was my biggest hope when they first announced Chaotic Raids, but that ended up being a massive disappointment (still cleared it though).
I miss having giant 24-72 player dungeons with multiple bosses and trash packs that took time to prog and clear. So much fun and it felt like a proper MMO.
It would be fun if this community could clear things on its own or had a brain to do so. Most of the time it will be wipe after wipe. So every hard content that comes will usually be reserved for static groups. Chaotic when it came, it was for everyone until people started gatekeeping and kicking you off if your lodstone profile is set to private because "no logs bro, why keep them private?". Same with the new player system rewards where they would bring friends who cannot even properly do their job but would want a clean prog. Yeah.
Then after 1-2 weeks ,its already built-in exclusively for "duty cleared". So if you haven't cleared it by now, you have 0 chances to enter. Same as Unreal content. Have to clear it immediately or its pain afterwards and you have to beg leaders to invite you. Now to answer the question: "why not create your own?". Now that's an irony you see. You don't want to waste your time right? Creating your own one would mean that everybody can join, including those that never cleared so your chance of prog are getting less and less. So this is an endless circle of gatekeeping people.
This new alliance raid was already on extreme level as whole alliance groups kept dying and I think this is enough.
How long does it take to beat the chaotic? Now multiply that times three and give wiggle room for the add phases in between.
I actually think here is a market for CURRENT day difficulty BA without the eureka lock but even ignoring rezz restriction I think forked is a little too hard to have somewhat wide appeal to make it worth it
4 chaotics stacked together is a big no though
Nah, Forked Tower is one giant mess.
They screwed up almost everything they could with it.
If anything I don't want to see anything like that ever again, especialy with the
"lol no moneehz for normal mode, do the EX to Savage version lol.
Also we made the maode of entry as bad as possible lol, whoopsies.
Anyways, but more stuff"
The forked tower raid itself is fine. I’d go so far as to say it’s some of their best design for an interactive raidNah, Forked Tower is one giant mess.

It just has awful entry and rezz conditions which make it annoying as hell to actually run
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
