Any word on swimming?

I believe it won't be in currently but there was a lot of talk earlier in the year about adding it when 2.0 gets its first expansion as it would likely deal with undersea things.

Yes please I want swimming to be put in very much. It makes the world so much more open and accessible, and less restricted and walled in.

I agree, only if they spend time in the expansion to make a beautiful underwater world.. at least to some extent..

Yoshi said a while ago they wouldn't implement swimming without a reason for it like an underwater world.
He also said in a more recent interview that ARR's first expansion will either be sky or underwater world. He personally leans towards the sky but the current MMO trend is underwater world...well, flying wouldn't be too bad either :3

If they're doing an underwater area, I have an idea if they're looking to add a city.

A city underwater with some form of magitech that creates a barrier between the city and the water. Kinda like that place on that planet (I know, great descriptors right?) from SW episode one. Not saying copy the place, but a possible reference to what I mean.

OT: I don't mind which they do, both could be done within the lifetime of the game. But regardless of which one they do I hope they do and design it with some major wow (not the game, stop frothing at the mouth!) factors. But swimming would be great.
