WoL standing there and doing nothing. No intervening when people are getting murdered in front of them, no stopping the comically Machiavellian villain when they are monologuing 2 feet in front of them, no doing anything. Just standing there. "And then the WoL stood there and watched. The end." When someone dies, they stand there and shrug. When something bad befalls their comrades, they just stare at them.

If I didn't know any better, I'd just assume the WoL has ascended to the level of a callously indifferent god, observing the behaviors of lesser beings as the only thing that can entertain them now. Except that everyone knows the most entertaining thing about 7.3 wasn't the story - it was the striking raid gloves that have spell speed, because even copy-pasting doesn't have QA anymore.

I'm honestly not surprised.

People do not read as much anymore. Writing and storytelling is increasingly devalued. It really doesn't surprise me when people slurp up these narratives like they're high art.

Likely sensitizing people to accept the sort of soulless slop AI craps out, so that in the near future when all human creativity is laid off, what remains of our species won't have the collective brain cells or intellectual discernment to even notice anything has changed. Oh dang. Just checked. The striking gear is just fine but the Scouting gloves do have spell speed.

According to the Known Issues news, they don't actually have spell speed, that's just a display error. Didn't get a pair to drop so I could actually test that, though.

Ok. So, it's still skill speed and just says spell speed instead.

Did I really cast any stones with my comment? If so, it was not my intention.

Oh, wait was it the part of "how the hick did that happen?".
If it is that was more of a question pointed at the dev team. Under the assumption that spell speed stats were put onto non caster gear.
It was less of a dig at the devs and more of I'm surprised it happened reaction. Though seeing as it is just missed placed text and not the actual stat it's not really that surprising of a mistake to happen.
