    Can't connect to the EU servers, error 2002 - please unban me Square Enix

    Hi, since the big crash on Satuday 27. September https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...5a0c73b183fb4d when everyone got disconnected from the game I have been unable to log in and play anymore. Everytime I log in to the EU servers (LIGHT AND CHAOS) I get the following error 2002 message - "The lobby server connection has encountered an error." When I switch the data center to NA or JAPAN - I can successfully connect, but everytime I switch to the EU data center I am not able. To me it looks like Square Enix banned my IP address 185.158.64.16 (please check square enix) to connect to the EU data centers.



    What I tried? All tutorials on Google regarding this issue—I am a technical expert myself.

    Is there a problem in my device? No, because the issue is also on my second device at home.
    Is there a problem in my router? No, because I switched to my old router and it didn't help.
    Is there a problem in my internet provider? No, because I contacted the customer service and they say they do not block anything to customers, and definitely not any games.

    I switched to my mobile ISP network and I can connect to the EU server! So the only way how to play FFXIV is when I switch my network from the cable fiber 1Gb/s to the LTE 10Mb/s. What does it tell me? I probably have a BAN from square enix to play on my home network IP 185.158.64.16

    Can you please help me Square Enix? I don't want to cancel my subsription and play other games. Or can some one other help me? Thank you so much!

    Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    We apologize for any inconvenience experienced when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV. Please try the following troubleshooting suggestions:

    Open the control panel of the PC and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
    *Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game.

    - Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.
    - We suggest to power cycle the device and router by shutting down the Router and leaving the power supply unplugged for 30 mins. to an hour.

    - Flush DNS: Within the "Command Prompt" of the device, please type the command "ipconfig /flushdns".
    - Reset TCP/IP: Also within the Command Prompt, type the command "netsh int ip reset" and then restart the computer.
    - Change local DNS: Please try changing the local DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
    - Lastly, after changing the DNS settings, please try switching Data Centers once more then switch back to your original Data Center.

    Same here i probably won't resub even if there is monster hunter event and even if I'm going to loose my house. Its been a week i can't data center travel and when i try its written data center couldn't be obtained and then it disconnect me from the game, also i can't back up my character settings on the servers and when i try its written an error has occurred. Canceling back up and then its written corrupted, i'm tired of this i give up thank you FFXIV it was fun.

    issue resolved byitself, I didn't do any of the steps that moderator recommended.
