An armoured speedo is actually a hilarious potential moonfire faire event I’d love to see tbhAn outfit for jetskiiing immediately came to mind for me, as opposed to biking or scuba diving.
No furniture again. Probably another thing they'll stick on the mogstore. I miss getting little decorations.
What... you want like armored swimming trucks or something for the summer beach event? Is that medieval enough?
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

I want. I also really like the artwork for the event. They look so cool.

Remember when this game had an art style?
Bring back 6.0 Dragoon.

Being a modern glam enjoyer in this game is amazing. You get to see hypocrites hiss and throw fits because the modern clothes "don't fit" the "aesthetic", but you will NEVER see these people in Turali gear (eg the ceremonial crafted set) even though that's half of the expansion's aesthetic
If they had their way, we'd be getting nothing but rehashes of the Cryptlurker sets every patch until this game reaches EOS

As a cat who spends his time in summer gear even in winter/cold environment in shorts I like the aesthetic, we have literally thousands of assets that fit into various taste of people and I am liking the modern neon stuff and am glad for the change and hope it remains for the expansion. There are many many things I don’t like about DT but some of the gear I am liking and moonfire is my favourite event every year and I look forward to and this year as it does look awesome. Just want more glam plates come on square. I get it isn’t for everyone but the its not as if every dungeon, raid series drops modern gear there has many reskins and alternates.
I'll admit, I used to be of this opinion, but people upset about no fantasy glamour make a point.Being a modern glam enjoyer in this game is amazing. Look at all the fantasy "gear" we have, whats the one thing in common with nearly 90% of it?
CLASS RESTRICTIONS
Now look at most, if not all, of the modern glamour which is universal gear.
XIV lacks fantasy glamour gear and it would be nice if they wouldn't always relegate it for the Cash Shop.
I would still like to know what happened to the 5.3 promise of rolling out a universal version of every crafted set eventually as replica gear. That would do a lot to alleviate the issue of limited fantasy glamour sets, yet they seemingly forgot about that promise.

The restrictions are just silly at this point.
I can wear full plate armor as a healer, a thong (and nothing else) as a dark knight and a thick tonberry robe as a monk, but Samurai and Dragoon can't swap chestpieces because... uh, one's Striking and the other's Maiming, duh! Who wants to see a Samurai in heavy armor anyway? Uh, heavy armor that's not from an event, the mog station or pvp, that is. Those are JUST FINE.

Since 2.0's launch as the Final Fantasy theme park / x-over with anything MMO, FFXIV has had an anything goes aesthetic.
Nothing is out of place here.

"Rehashes of the Cryptlurker sets" would be just as boring as the modern stuff – they're among the dullest of the fantasy robes available. (Piratey DPS jacket is nice though.) Between those extremes is so many beautiful designs and styles, but they're all locked up into level restrictions, class restrictions, and in many cases the frustrating RNG of trying to win a particular piece from a dungeon or alliance raid, while the modern sets are level 1 and easily or reliably required.
My favourite new designs from this current patch are the crafter and gatherer outfits, which we'll never get to use for anything except crafting and gathering. For all-purpose, battle-ready gear we get T-shirts.
I wish we had a jacket-less version.
