I would prefer the careful, calculated advertising to a flood of promises that ultimately don't show in the Beta. Word of mouth will do the information spreading for them.

I'm more anxious for the Beta than I am for more gamplay info at this point. They've dropped info in interviews, Dev responces, Letters, etc to the point where I'm more wanting to actually play the game.

That's when we'll determine whether or not they've made communication mistakes or not. We're still 4 months away from 2013 - there's no huge reason to push promotion for a once-broken game at this stage. Wait until the players can confirm, through Beta Experience, that the game is going to be awesome, before SE starts broadcasting on loudspeaker that the game is awesome now and everyone should give it another chance.
