I don't think they're contradicting at all. I work, other people work. We might be able to log on and house hunt in that 10 day period and play a bit. But if you shortened the lottery period like people have suggested it just benefits the unemployed as the old system did. And for house demo it still stands true that if you don't log in for well over a month and do something with your house then yeah you probably don't need it anymore. I've kept six houses for years now without issue. I can go abroad on holiday and come back to my house still being there, I can take a pretty long break and my house is still there. If someone has health issues or other life circumstances that prevent them keeping their house it sucks but it is what it is, others are waiting for a chance at the house too. And the emotional blackmail some like to throw around for having that stance frankly means nothing to me, nor should it be worth anything to SE.

There's nothing unfair about the lotto imo, I got houses under both systems and it is far more preferable than wasting my life clicking on a placard. And there were no shortage of people who just cheated and got a house with an autoclicker, hell I even reported someone dumb enough to stream themselves doing it. And nothing happened to them. Lotto is much nicer, go bid on the thing and come back later. FC's being able to put more bids in makes sense, means that a larger fc can get a better shot at a bigger house and thus the house serves more people.

I was keen enough on housing to make and level alts on the other servers to get my houses there. I don't feel much for people who refuse to move and get a house that is sat waiting for an occupant because they wanna RP on a certain server and god forbid they need to server hop to do it.

Lastly idk what the obsession is with solowing but move on, I've seen you make attacks on them and another person. I've seen you try going the holier than thou road of blocking them but clearly you don't have the self control to stop yourself reading and responding to their comments anyway. Either engage with them or don't. From what I have seen of them over the years, they literally just state the system as it is and mention that they actually enjoy the ward system. And actually I do too, esp having now experienced housing in GW2 where it is very hard to get others to see your home. Nobody can chance upon your house in that game. It actually really sucks, being able to roam wards and explore peoples houses is really nice in this game and I wouldn't want to see it gone. Esp now we will get that housing mirage in future to make effectively all small houses mansions, I see no reason even for instanced housing at this point now I think on it more. I just want our item limit greatly expanded and the ability to further tailor the layout inside the house.

no one is saying to get rid of the wards idk why some of you keep bringing that up thats not whats been asked in here. what has been asked is that they make housing more forgiving and more accessible/obtainable how is that so difficult to understand or comprehend? how much more can we clarify that until it finally makes sense?
and second, housing should be equal across the whole board no size restrictions period. that the other issue people are complaining about.

if i want to stay on a my home server i built up with friends and my group and i want a house there then i am allowed to buy a house that i want there end of story i am sorry you disagree with that but people dont want to go thru the incovenience of que lines and restrictions on stuff that is allowed under normal circumstances just to hangout and then to have to inconvenience their friends if they want to hangout on their house owned server in the same vein XD jeezus man can you guys just agree thats a hassle and needs to be addressed instead of going "just go to another server bruh" like thats so disingenuous and its avoiding offering a solution and just blaming and shaming people for wanting a better option an wanting stay put with their friends and group so you know what you do that first and tell us how much you like that first then come talk to us kay?

If SE move towards instanced housing it's reasonable to assume the wards will stop receiving further support. I don't think they would remove them but we can kiss goodbye to them getting updated. They already quote cost for being why they don't do x or y.

Housing is already plenty accessible and the lotto is very forgiving unlike the ol placard clicking. There are small plots everywhere with the exception of a few NA servers. And small plots even there come into rotation.

Housing size is soon to be largely irrelevant with the mirage system. The only differentiating factor after that will be the gardens. And having a mansion plot should have some benefit over others, given the rarity of them.

And again if you can't be bothered to hop server when it takes two seconds I have no sympathy for you or others in the same boat as you. You're allowed to buy a house on your server if there is one, if supply is lacking and you won't move when there is plenty a server hop away. Meh. You made your choice.

that simply is not true they won't abandon you guys over instance housing they continue to design furnishing do they not? they are planning item limit increase for plots are they not? and they are improving interior design for you are they not?

and to your other point there only plots now because people are no longer interested in the game anymore and decided to vote with their wallets their dissatisfaction with the game an leave this has nothing to do with people refusing to relocate an if the server crossing isnt such a huge issue then why are their threads on this very same forum complaining about their data centers not having enough activity on them? an that they have no community cause everyone else will just F off to aether for endgame or to crystal to get freaky etc how do you explain that away huh?
