Is Meteion Dead?

This one's really weird to me. Because I feel like it's meant to be ambiguous, it's definitely framed as if it is, but it's just... not. There just isn't a potential reading that says that Meteion's dead. I don't think she's relevant, I think she's just off looking at stuff and exploring the world, with the intention to bring it back to... honestly, I don't know, probably nobody.

There is sort of a question of if the Meteion we met in Elpis specifically is dead, but I personally don't think that's an especially relevant question. The Meteia are some level of collective consciousness; there isn't a meaningful difference between one and another, they're all Meteion. They're all going to ask if we can be friends.

I wouldn't hate seeing her again, but that's maybe because I'm thinking of the circumstances being literally just that. Seeing her, and that's it. Just a few seconds of 'hey, it's that bird'. I think bringing her back as a fuller character would feel... I dunno, desperate? She feels like she's done as a character, to the point where bringing her back would feel like fanservice more than a meaningful continuation.
