I think the simple fact is most people are done with Dawntrail and are ready to move on, so any "hype" the trailer is supposed to give it lost

Exactly this. The hype was over ever since they saw Wuk Lamat and graphical issues. Mind you those graphical issues are still present and there are threads here with 300+ pages about why Miqote eyebrows, Hyur bags under eyes and a lot more aren't fixed.
Just checking steam page and seeing "Mostly Negative" says it all. It was mixed at the beginning and now fell down even worse.
I liked Sphene's Narration near the end.
Though, I'm not sure what is considered the worst patch trailer in general.
People will just always complain here. Let them add cool scenes with some spoilers, then everyone goes mad here, remove the cool scenes and everyone complains again
no matter what yoshida is doing, it always will be wrong for most of the folks here![]()

A bad beginning makes a bad ending. SE released an expansion with a poorly received story, and it significantly damaged the hype people had when they left Endwalker. Now, they are spending multiple patches to better that story, which, honestly, would not have been a problem at all had they actually made the effort of writing an overall okay story, to begin with.

All the cool stuff for this patch isn't coming for another month or two, so the only thing they have really going for Tuesday is the Alliance raid (which I'm excited for) and the MSQ (which I'm not).

I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.

The main problem I have with the trailer is because it is exclusively main scenario based, and I just no longer have any interest really about DT's story or where it's headed, the trailer thus just... was there, a bunch of random scenes and npcs saying things I couldn't care less about.. oh hey look there's Kam'lanaut!
Sadly compared with the ARR era trailers which included new content or non-story additions to the game, since HW trailers have been just teasers of the story to come which was perfectly fine when the story was actually good and interesting.
But now... stuck in Lametrail's cyberpunk!FFIX story... I just don't care. I really, really, just don't care anymore.
Yes. The trial needing to remain ??? and the lack of a normal raid series really cuts down on the number of bosses they can show. Also means there's no good music to end it with- assuming the trial music would be a spoiler too.I believe Yoshi-P did mention during the LL that the trailer was a bit more vanilla this time because showing anymore than that would be spoilers. They've gotten heat for that before, like people were mad at the end of the Shadowbringers trailer with Emet mentioning what Hydaelyn and Zodiark were. Though that ended up not being the biggest reveal in that expansion.
Watching this trailer I can kind of seeing where their editor was fighting for their life not to show certain things.

One that I had that delete the bodies of characters and just saw heads moving around with empty outfits.

I wouldn't be surprised if the trial music was a spoiler. Though even if it's not, he doesn't play mount music on new mounts anymore because there were complaints about spoilers there. Which is really silly. We know Live Letters are going to show things from a patch or expansion. Don't watch if you're going to be bothered to that level by spoilers.
