Bardam's Mettle: Can't win 3rd trial

Hello All

I do it with a group of NPCs. It's a fair enough dungeon with no big troubles, so everything goes well, up to the 3rd trial during the final fight against Bardam.

Problem:
No matter what I do, I fail at the same specific step because I can't see what's happening.
The view is fully obstructed by Bardam and the rocks floating around him. No matter if I zoom out or in, I just see a bunch of stones, hiding me, the NPCs and the floor. As a result, I don't see the AOEs markers and can't copy the NPCs behaviour.

It's an enormous bother to me, because I have every times to redo the 1st and 2nd trials before to retry the 3rd one what is very tiring.

Question: How can I "see" what is happening? Is there a way to stand so that the floating rocks and Bardam don't obstruct the view?

Spin your camera around

You should have your camera facing bardam, that way you aren’t being blocked by his body

There is a bug in this game where if your camera is inside of a wall-based boss, certain things can disappear that you need to see. Usually your camera isn't inside of a boss like that, but the north position in Bardam's can result in it happening.

Personally, I turn my camera by holding the left mouse button and turning around. If you use a keyboard/mouse, it's easier to do with legacy movement enabled which you can change via /characterconfig > Control Settings > General.

You could also try zooming in. I do this with the mouse wheel. I'm not sure about controllers.

Thanks All for your input. For now, I don't retry because it really got me tired and grumpy... LOL

But as soon as I feel the courage to retry, I will use what you told me. I keep you posted.

Try sticking to the pizza slice farthest away from the boss to minimize the chance of being blinded by its chonkiness. You can also focus target an NPC (I don't remember the default command, but you can most definitely look it up in your Keybinds menu) so an arrow will pop up on top of their head to keep track of where they are easily. I'd mark the fastest/most reliable NPC to better your chances of being able to copy it. As a last resort, you can also look up a gameplay/video to see how other players are handling it. Dears, as said, I keep you posted: I was lucky and sort of "cheat" the problem by going with a team instead of soloing. It went trouble free that way.
