They've already made things harder and for the most part people are fine with it so the OP is a moot point.
The bigger issue is every dungeon being AOE two packs -> boss -> AOE two packs -> boss -> AOE two packs -> boss. I understand the current design is a direct result of player behavior with the old designs, but there must be ways they can mix it up. WoW had a dungeon in Wrath that was just one big room with prison cells and each boss was a prisoner that busted out, maybe they could experiment with stuff like that.
