Or to sum it all up: The idea behind DT wasn't that bad. The execution was.

I think it's just that they leaned TOO much on Wuk Lamat Saves The Day. Like how are you going to be the ruler of an entire continent when you know nothing about its people? Oh but it's okay because you stand for Peace, Love and Happiness.
"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
I think the idea is we need good, new companions for our WoL to travel with and DT didn't give us the varied responses when we're allowed to speak to actually make them feel like a proper avatar.

I would like to see Wuk Lamat killed off in the story.
Have a pebble fall on her head or something.

I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.
I do my best to ignore her in any cutscene. We unfortunately have to suffer her in 7.3, but if she rears her head in 8.0 in any way, Im no longer subbing to future expansions.

In that regard, she could become a new member of the Scions, which would mean that we would get to speak to her in many more instances than we could imagine.

I would drop this games story hard if they tried to drag Sphene along as a scion. We don't need anymore characters lumped into the scions, especially not one as boring and pointless as Sphene.

I laugh each time I read posts like the OPs, complaining about Wuk Lamat.
We are in a new place. The Scions have disbanded and taken a background role now after Endwalker. So of course we will come across new characters and THEY will be taking center stage now.

Kinda weird how they have taken a "backround role" and we still drag them along with us everywhere.
Kinda weird how Krile was supposed to have a major role in the expansion, but never got her due and was constantly muscled out of scenes by Wuk Lamat
Kinda weird how these "new characters" were dominated by one character getting all the spotlight
Wuk Lamat could've been great, but they tried way too hard and lacked the writing talent to make her shine and balanced it way too much on one character. And tried to panic and scramble to the point even Yoshi P said "Give her a chance, we will show her great side" when the milk was already spilled on the ground
