Kinda signed off on the fact that they have a skeleton crew running CBU rn. I have very low expectations on their talents and integrity. So it comes as no surprise they havent gotten anything done.

This is the SE business plan I found online: https://www.hd.square-enix.com/eng/i...0514_01_en.pdf
100% Numbers speak volumesThey should be grateful for YOUR patronage, not the other way around. As a paying customer, you have every right to voice your dissatisfaction and demand a better experience. Don't try to appeal to their feelings, they don't care. They care about the bottom line and making number go up, but if you tell them you'll keep playing regardless of what they do or don't do, then why would they ever listen to you? They already got you, hook line and sinker, so they have no reason to spend any effort trying to appease you.
Higher numbers = Success, also, promotes complacency.
Crashing numbers = CS3 and Yoshi P need to light a fire under their own arses and figure out what's going on and wrong here to lose as many players, also promotes the willingness to do better.
They do receive and take feedback. Not all of it, as these forums are/can be a cesspit. But there are a lot of good opinions/suggestions - they get snuffed out by the idiocy that plagues the forums.
Think the first course of action is getting GMs to start getting rid of garbage/trolling posting just to make room for actual feedback that's constructive and can be questioned/challenged civilly.
That isn't gonna happen with the overly extra triggered, the trolls and ragebaiters in full flight.
Surely NEXT PATCH is THE patch this time right guys
N-next patch for sure..!!
Lot of you think too dramatically.
Expressing unhappiness doesnt automatically equate to hating.
Most people do quit. We can see that via how many subs they've lost and how many houses are up for sale now-there's no debate there. The game is losing tons of people, lot of people are unhappy and they quit.
The ones that still care though are the ones who are saying something first. They're not saying that they hate the game as a whole and want it to fail. They're saying that they don't like the current situation and hope it will change for the better, because they want to stay. They don't want to lose the game they like-the game that used to be so good, but has progressively gone downhill for some time now. With the community who freaks out and yells at you to stop talking any time you admit any kind of dissatisfaction-which is why they rightfully get called cult members.
You can't sit around and hope people feel what you're thinking. You have to say it. If you want change, you have to speak out what that change should be. Admit dissatisfaction. Its far more unhealthy to just bottle things up, give up, and leave than it is to speak how you feel. I also think its mentally unwell to side with a company and keep telling paying customers to back off and pay in silence, but thats kind of a different subject.
From what I understand, the main sentiment that I've seen is that in the previous Live Letter Yoshida stated that he'd have more information on housing in this Live Letter, which wasn't true. And he didn't take the time to give it an official segment of even 1-2 minutes to talk about it and instead noticed comments about housing on the channel and gave a very short response. I believe it was along the lines of, "I'm seeing comments about housing. Increased number of placed items or the interior upgrades. We're almost done but we need a bit more time, sorry." At least in that sort of way, I can understand peoples frustration. They were expecting an identifiable segment about housing and some details but got a short response to comments on the channel and it feels like it was glazed over. Because it was.
However, he stated they're almost done which is very positive of the content that these people are looking forward to. As for someone whose been here for quite some time and have been asking for things such as "shiva, leviathan and ramuh egi's or egi-glamours / chat bubbles / functional headgear for hrothgar and viera" since 2.4, 2.0 and 5.0 respectively, that line is far, far, far more than anything I've gotten in regards to that in over half a decade. It's actively being worked on. It's almost done. This is good news.
The information could've been passed on more professionally and it doesn't seem like he thought there was enough information about it to have a whole section for it but it absolutely feels like the reaction to "we're almost done, we need a bit more time, sorry" is overblown.
I respectfully disagree. It was a slap in the face that we didn't get a section on housing, not even a couple of minutes to tell us what's going on and why it needs to be pushed back again, after he promised that we would get information this Live Letter. And to add insult to injury he did it in an off-hand and dismissive way at the very end of it instead of being upfront about it.The information could've been passed on more professionally and it doesn't seem like he thought there was enough information about it to have a whole section for it but it absolutely feels like the reaction to "we're almost done, we need a bit more time, sorry" is overblown.
More than that, he's been pushing this back since 7.0. This is beyond frustrating at this point, it's exhausting. We've tried our best to remain optimistic and hopeful, but there's only so much of that energy we have. He won't tell us anything, NO ONE will tell us anything, and frankly we're fed up with it. Sure, you may be right, and his comment IS good news that they're almost done, but right now I don't believe it. Right now I don't believe anything coming out of that man's mouth regarding housing, and I won't until I actually see it in patch notes. I am profoundly disappointed in the stunt he pulled with that, and I don't blame my fellow housing enjoyers from expressing their outrage over this.
See, that would have been fine if in Part 1 he didn't also make an off-handed comment in response to a twitch comment about how "we'll have a segment on housing in Part 2, please be patient" only for him to once again be reminded by a twitch chatter and make it an off-handed comment again. The information could've been passed on more professionally and it doesn't seem like he thought there was enough information about it to have a whole section for it but it absolutely feels like the reaction to "we're almost done, we need a bit more time, sorry" is overblown.
Two PLLs in a row he's said he would talk about housing, promised to have a feature segment of it in Part 2 of the PLL, and then once again had to be reminded by a player that he just so "happened" to notice commenting in chat. It's ridiculously unprofessional.
And really, at this point, if you’re going to delay it again, tell us why and what exactly we’re waiting for!See, that would have been fine if in Part 1 he didn't also make an off-handed comment in response to a twitch comment about how "we'll have a segment on housing in Part 2, please be patient" only for him to once again be reminded by a twitch chatter and make it an off-handed comment again.

Like if they’re going to double the item count (or more!), I’m sure a lot of us would be like, “great take your time!” At least we’d have something to look forward to! But no details at all, and after this long of a wait (it was promoted as an upcoming feature well before DT release), it had better be a significant increase to justify both the lengthy wait and lack of communication.
There’s some speculation (or hopium…) that maybe they’re holding the item increase to be able to do the interior size feature at the same time, even though that feature was never given a timeline, and frankly I wasn’t expecting it anytime before 8.0. But if that’s the reason, say so! Then you’d still have people disappointed by the wait, but excited for what’s to come.
It was really upsetting there was nothing on housing after they said in the first 7.3 LL they were going to talk about it in the one that just passed. I even started demolishing some things in my home to get ready for the limit expansion for only having to put them back up![]()
