Can we please get a new GIG?

Balance it around the primary weapon in stats.I hate looking at that non HQ or non green gig.I never understood why create a secondary weapon for Fishing if you’re just gonna forget you created it.

I assume it was due to it being necessary for Spearfishing. They could always do what they do for Paladins and place a fishing rod and gig in a combo box. Blue mages main weapon and most likely Beastmasters main weapon are in the same boat.

Blue mages get new weapons at every level cap, if you complete the Masked Carnival. Their stats are intentionally weak, so you can poke at low-level monsters without killing them if you out-level them and didn't get a spell, but they still get a higher item level.

The reason BLU get a new weapon is because they can still meld their canes, and the way Materia rules work is that you can't put materia of an item level above the item in that item, Shadowbringers Materia(tier VII and VIII) is iLvl 420, so they needed a cane at least that high or higher, so anything between 420 and 559 was valid, you can't meld your gig, so that's likely the reason we never get new ones.

I agree that we should get new gigs just on the basis of FSH it not having a gross iLvl, 662 feels super off on a level 100 class, or do something for the gig to not count towards overall iLvl, either would be fine.

In 1.0 we had multiple gigs.
I had an endgame tier gig (for the time).

Give me my gigs back.
