No housing news this LL

From what I saw in the chat during the stream, a Japanese Reddit Discord translated when they announced the housing updates were not ready but they are close and therefore delayed. It's upsetting but I also am being optimistic and it may sound silly but I hope it was because of the shots fired from WoW and it has lit a fire underneath them. I hope to be pleasantly surprised if it is the case but I also know to temper my expectations.

That's a good point. Maybe they saw that WoW's housing gives thousands of item slots and they're now trying to increase the number past what they initially were shooting for. I guess we won't really know until it comes out though. If it finally arrives 1.5 years after Dawntrail's launch and it's just a 200 slot increase that will be pretty disappointing.

I certainly hope we're compensated for the extra time they're taking to push it out. If it's not double or triple the item slots initially planned then, what are they even working on? I hope that the housing item increase is NOT tied solely to the interior size changes, that will be a huge let down, considering, i like the size of my medium, but would enjoy more item slots. I don't want to go to a large for more item slots.

Either way disappointment. Its too long of a wait, for something i was looking forward to since the announcement of DawnTrail.

This was the only announcement I was waiting for this live letter.

Imagine waiting a year and half (I'm personnally waiting for this upgrade for a very, very long time) for 50 more slots by house...

Well to be honest the SE FFXIV Team has been lying all about it again.... I want a much higher item limit within these houses and I want it now... it has been talked about since before 7.0

AND the SE/FFXIV can just... I almost said a very bad word here.

It's upsetting, again must we wait for several months but I hope they say something, anything soon with enough to hold us down until then. I too watched the entire stream hoping they would touch on the housing, that's probably the biggest thing I have been waiting for since last year xD

EXTREMELY unhappy with this string-along nonsense. Pushing it back until 7.3 - YEARS after the last count update - was already bad enough. Announcing it'll be spoken about in the next live letter - also not great. Then just putting it off with a vague "almost there" footnote of a comment when they'd said they were going to speak about it today - come on.

At this point I'm half-expecting it to be announced for 8.0, and my interest in still playing is going to be SEVERELY taxed by then, if not sooner.

This level of telling you one thing and then pulling it out from under you with nothing but "hope you'll stick around with ZERO further information, details, or promises from us" is wearing really, really thin.

I won't take copium again, they delayed/ignored/handwaved it way too much. Taking 10 sec to say "no ready lel" during a 4h + live letter after saying they would actually talk about it, was just a big middle finger.

They've made these claims before!! We've BEEN waiting since End Walker. FF14 needs to do better. I was also extremely optimistic for this patch!!

They could of AT LEAST given us a progress update of some kind. OR told us what is causing the delay. Any transparency would of kept us hoping!! Now, I just assume a housing update is not coming. It's going in the unsupported pile next to Squadrons.

The live letter is emblematic of the whole. Just as they used the housing update promise to string you along until the end of the LL, so too are they using the promise of housing updates to string you along for this expansion. I hope I'm wrong, but imagine if I'm right and we get to the end of this expac only to be promised housing QoL updates for 8.0.
Hell, I'm out here wondering how they're even gonna deliver all the stuff they promised in the time they have left. Remember beastmaster? I kinda forgot it was even gonna be a thing.
