I'm mad about how they handled the housing topic. If it's not done, fine, but don't bait us saying you'll talk about it only to give us nothing.
But the pheonix down changes was something I really wanted for a long time, so I'm somewhat happy.

Couldn't follow all of it, however:
- Most of the glams look great
- I really like the look of the Meso Terminal dungeon, and that hologram effect which jumps between both 'versions' of Living Memory should be interesting!
- Phoenix Downs being made useful is interesting.... though I suspect it'll result in premade teams without Healers.... because probably not much point in taking Healers if you can just take several tanks carrying XXX Phoenix Downs
- DD looks great although not sure it's content I'll partake in - partly due to my skill limitations and partly because it requires time commitment I don't have.
I dislike the phoniex down changes cuz the only fun time i had healing was on paladin keeping two dps alive.
Though it is what it is I don't play the game for casual dungeons lol.
Another set of modern casual glams for pvp, so I guess I can scratch that off my to do list entirely. I hope when dawntrail finally mercifully ends, these kind of outfits go with it. All that work on a graphics update so they can print logos on tshirts
The Deep Dungeon looks fantastic and I really like the idea of their introducing the ability to customize that last boss to give your party the experience they want. Very happy we'll be able to match all 100 floors. The checkpoints were necessary to make that viable to reduce toxicity so I'm glad they are being implemented. They also seem to be doing the right things to keep this content evergreen and active.
Glad to hear Variant and Criterion are still being worked on for 7.4.
The new Deep Dungeon coming in the 7.35 patch killed me.
With each patch that I skip and play a different game, the more I feel like I get to enjoy once I eventually come back to pay attention to it all.
The issue is that the patch and liveletter content come way too late while the iron is cold, and once they strike it, it feels like there needs to be more substance or that they aren't addressing some of the bigger issues that players have been asking for over a long period of time. This is also coupled with the fact that content that is PROMISED to come out in a x.xx patch is delayed repeatedly with a "not there yet" at each turn. This is why the promissory note that is "8.0" will fall flat if Square doesn't take the Enix out of its arse and commit resources, developers, and quality care back into their MMO. I know where the resources are going, if we're following Square's paper trail (scrambling to pick up new IPs to sell that fall flat like Life is Strange, trying to revive established games with modern twists and turns that do not appeal to its audience like the combat spin on the re-released and censored FF titles, and their targeted mobile game in China for that sweet cash grab), and it doesn't fill me with confidence that this game is going to deliver for much longer. It would take an entire slap across the face to shake them awake and focus on producing larger scopes of content at smaller intermissions between patches. A shakedown on the English branch would certainly help smooth some things over, like the fantastical blunder at the very start of Dawntrail (and this year) but I'm not holding my breath.
Those are my two cents on the liveletter(s) here and before for Dawntrail, as no other expansion has disappointed me nearly as much as this one, and this one is where the biggest elephants in the room have been noticed. I suppose what I'm saying is that it delivers, but it delivers too slowly, and no communications of the bigger concerns are really addressed; most of it seems glossed over or poorly presented to the point where it's ambiguous such as Job complexity, changes or additions. It doesn't help with the community still being divided on whether or not to be satisfied with the quality and consistency of when these liveletters drop and patches are released (ranging from toxic negativity to toxic positivity and both attacking everyone). The patch seems to offer better in terms of longevity, but to me it isn't enough. That's why I'm probably waiting to do any of this "new" content until more patches eventually drop, ranging from three-to-four months at a time (give or take a month or two).

7.3 looks like a boring bad patch
7.35 could be good with that new DD and the new system. I'm glad they finally broke a formula for the first time in forever, keep doing that, even if this doesn't work out, keep doing it.
Am I the only one who sees that Yoshi P. no longer behaves like a producer or like someone who loves this game?
But more like a Z-list celebrity pop star who just tours the world and lets himself be celebrated?
I think we've reached a point where SE needs to think about what's next for this game and whether it's still justified
to let someone like Yoshi P. work on this game.
As long as he's there, there will be no more big changes. The game is stagnating.
Always the same formula, no risks. There's nothing left to discover in the game, no more dangers, not even a good adventure.
Either because everything has become so easy, or because the LL's are so full of spoilers that even the dumbest among us understands what needs to be done in the game to get from A to B.
Today, Yoshi spent over an hour just spoiling Deep Dungeon, why?
Part of that wasn't LL anymore, but a streaming of Yoshi running through the Deep Dungeon and killing Monsters. I don't know but I am not a Fan of "Watch me Play Game XYZ"
And then there are his constant promises (lies). If you don't want to change anything about the game/system, all you have to do is say so, instead of talking about changes, hype Players with it and let them wait forever.
Does anyone remember that one interview when Yoshi was asked if we'd ever get Garlean armor and weapons, like Gaius's weapon? Yoshi replied that it could be now done since the Garlean story was over.
Years later… yes, you all guessed correctly, nothing has happened. No Gaius weapon, no Gaius, Nero, or Livia armor, no Zenos minion or Zenos, Gaius, Nero portrait.
Meanwhile, the Mobile Game got Gaius Armor, and we got a 42 Dollar Glamour in the Item Shop.
I love this Game here so much, and I rewatched Cutscenes so damn often, there was so many intriguing, funny and even sad Parts to see in all those Cutscenes.
With DawnTrail, all that changed. I haven't rewatched a single DawnTrail cutscene.
My love for this game is fading bit by bit.
No, I'm not burned out by this game; I've opened my eyes ...
Someone call the Forum Police! Because I wrote passive aggressively that DT looks not good. Oh how right I was!
SE seems to be banking on his status. That's probably why they said "yea we know the golden goose is in trouble, but we're gonna keep putting him on other projects." They likely want his name attached to more titles because they think it'll boost their salesAm I the only one who sees that Yoshi P. no longer behaves like a producer or like someone who loves this game?
