    If you want to classify Meteordrive as a hard CC, I do agree
    Although it is a costly penalty for MNK because of how MNK pvp rotation functions
    Personally, I do use Meteordrive to lock the target in animation and run a countdown macro to signal teammates when to focus fire.

    HOneslty i got a feeling they might revert the purify change with how negative the feedback from what i seen, so far. Though if LBs lost some function adn gave an MP gain back for using it being used (except BLM AND RPR they get their LBs too often) OR here a thing purifying Mircale restores the 2500 MP that we use

    I literally cannot get Contradance off in Frontlines without dying now. Even if I use the role action that has a 25% mitigation or whatever. This feels really bad.

    The only way currently to pull off a Contra to make sure not to have it interrupted by any CC is to spamm Purify after using the LB and cross your fingers not to get screwed over by server lag or being CC'ed just before using the LB, when previously you could either pre purify, or do this, so the amount of options has been halved.
    It doesn't make the LB unusable and I'll admit that my wording in the title was a little over dramatic, but it certainly doesn't help. I haven't tried in FL so I can only imagine how annoying it can be.

    Next time I'll try Purifying after the LB instead of before to see if that helps.

    Yeah, DNC LB is a death sentence in FL or CC. It's now just for solo ulting Vipers in Snake Scale.

    What annoys me the most right now with Contra is that since the LB more or less requires burning a Purify to prevent stuns/silences (unless you're fighting against targets that can't stun you), you're essentially paying 15k HP to use said LB. Generally after using the LB you'll want to refresh charm and dump AoEs to help your team kill down charmed opponents, or just go immediately into guard to tempo because you didn't snag all of them and are just going to die otherwise. Generally the time it takes for the LB to wind up, odds are you're going to take a lot of damage if your opponent has two functioning brain cells and will actually try to shut you down, so you do NEED those recups for after.

    Dive in or pop from behind cover to maximize how many you hit with DNC LB > get hit by 10k worth of cleave damage not meant for you > get hit by 20-30k worth of damage in the time it takes to register, while half the enemy team has already dashed away > spam purify and potions because you are about to die > lose the chance to extend LB duration > team is unable to secure a kill > die yourself cause you spent half your MP just trying to LB.

    Or even better, pop DNC LB and get hit by five 20k hits that exist on a 30sec cd for some reason and explode.

    Would assume, unless they change Purif,y to either add anti-cc or at minimum damage reduction while LB'ing so you don't just pop.

    This was said with a past progressive, which I felt was true even on the JP side before this patch as seeing that the meta was more onto melees and healers at least in solo queue.

    With those new changes I'm not sure anymore and it depends of the job as well: BRD is crazy strong now due to the crowd control and the MP removal move. BLM I don't know, it's okay. SMN also gained some manner of power with the AoE stun on demand. RDM is absolutely wild because like WAR it's part of the two jobs with the most rampant AoE crowd control in the game right now. It's a bit all over the place because CC has become so lopsided that it's less about roles and more about who has CC and who has not now I feel.

    I also don't believe in the idea that melees suffer more from this change than ranged because in CC at sufficient level, what matters is who is going to be bursted down, and this can equally be a melee or a ranged. You generally won't need more than a purify and the burst sequences haven't changed that much, you purify out of cc as fast as possible and guard or recup and try to get out of dodge. Difference being that your purify is now being taxed by 15k HP in your face, which I'd argue hurts squishies even more than melees that have other means to heal themselves (but it hurts everyone really).
