Suggestion: Personality Packs for Voice & Emotes Customization in FFXIV

Hi everyone! I’d like to propose a new feature for FFXIV that I think would really improve player expression and character identity.

Right now, each race has a fixed set of voices and emotes tied to it, which can feel limiting. What if players could choose from “Personality Packs” that combine voice lines, laughs, and emotes — regardless of their character’s race?

For example:

Bubbly (Miqo’te): playful, loud laughter, expressive emotes

Serene (Viera): calm, elegant, subtle reactions

Cheerful (Lalafell): energetic, happy, lively gestures

Fierce (Highlander): intense, passionate expressions

This would let players better represent their own personality or character backstory without being restricted by race stereotypes. It would make the game feel more personal and diverse!

I hope Square Enix considers this — it would be amazing for character customization and roleplaying.

I don't support this idea simply for the reason because then emotes would be locked and fixed for a specific personality, the same as they are for races now. I'd rather just have all of them available without restrictions and use them as I see fit.

While I would like to be able to choose animations on a more granular level, even this would be a big improvement.

Unfortunately CBU3 can't make even the smallest improvement to the character customization system, otherwise something something spaghetti code something something servers explode. Or something.

Yes please! I'd love to be able to give my character a set of emotes that suits his personality a bit better!
Aion had a system like this waaaaaay back when, and even let you pick and choose which emotes you wanted to use (instead of having to use a whole pack)
