They did not say only quests but also content driven, which means repeatable quest, which doesn't always means kill xxxx for xx times, could be for clearing dungeons so you get exp for killing stuff inside and clearing the dungeons etc.

oh yay you mean we get to spam CC(dungeons like it) even more!?!
No, i didn't. Dungeons are just better options compare to open world grinding and lol go play vindictus? maybe you should be the one migrate to the other game because this is happening in FFXIV, its not a plan, its happening and you don't even have basis why open world grinding is better.
Im sorry I disagree, dungeons are boring its all instanced no thankyou. Why should I have to run the same damn dungeons for exp, I would prefer exp camps like there have always been. At least with the exp camps I can explore, instanced dungeons are just plain boring. So all in all the open world will become useless for a linear path to level cap, where everything is on easy mode and no competition. If you need your hand held from level 1- cap than a MMO isnt for you cause thats exactly what is going to happen. So now Final Fantasy becomes just another standard lobby game OH WOW those are so much fun (NOT), as well as boring.
Exactly. In the current game, you can level all your jobs to 50 without participating in any story or doing any quests. I don't think they want this to be the same in ARR. They want people to see and understand the world they're playing in.
That is not their choice to make that is up to the player to make that choice. I pay to play and I want to play my way not the way some DEV thinks I should. Now if a player dosent want to do the story that is their choice and the DEV's have no right to tell them you have to do the story. Each player has the right to play the way they wish to play as long as it is not a violation of the user agreement.
