Progress in beta to carry over to live-relaunch?

Since we now have 100% confirmation that those who are lucky enough to get access to beta will be able to play their current characters in the upcoming beta, will the progress made in the beta carry over into the retail version of FFXIV:ARR?

Would be curious to hear a dev response on this if possible.

Yeah, but there will be some sort of Queue though, be we have Priority though yes, but there still will be a chance you may not get in (At first)

Tera Open beta did. The closed beta 1-5 was carried over and characters were wiped for Open beta. also. lolTera

I will be quite surprised if they let us keep our progress in the beta if it's closed, however if they give us our characters during an open beta then it would probably be a good idea so those who try out the game will not have to do the start all over again.

This was already discussed at E3. There will be no carry over. None.
