GM's shutting down the General Discussion Forums

It appears that every thread with critical feedback on FF14 is being locked by the GM's. I think it's time to read what they wrote on the wall: CBU3 is done hearing our feedback.

From what I see, the thread that started as liking the new gear set (New Gearset Preview is pretty nice) and the thread that started as a counter thread to the original not liking (Where are all the outrage when they made the Lord of Doma a Samurai?) thread got locked. Both are on the first page as of writing of this comment.

Well now it looks like SE is finally feeling the hand that bites from which they fed. You invite weird ppl to your game, your gonna be dealing with the weird ppl now. I'm just sad the devoted players have to deal with these weirdos as well messing up the direction of the game cause SE refuses to believe the hardcore player base that stuck with the game for so long don't exist.

Yeah it really is playing with fire. I'll never forget the letter I got from SE while I was happily playing EVE Online. Roughly, from memory...

If it was only that one thread and the subsequent spin-off threads, then that's perfectly understandable, and trying to misconstrue that as an attempt to shut down legitimate criticism is disingenuous IMO.
