This is why I avoid leveling roulette. 50 is the bare minimum I can stand. Although LoTA and ST are still usually snooze, besides clowns burning ice blocks during Amon or tanks spinning Bone Dragon

for tomes to upgrade my gear and for materia to meld to new gear.
Leveling other classes, clusters, and tomes.I want to do roulettes, but can't bring myself to justify doing them, because it all seems pointless.
-I'm BiS savage geared
-I've the OC relic weapons
-I've done 2k mentor roulettes already
-Mogtome rewards are bad, as usual
Seems gearing alts and finishing my last 3 jobs is the only thing, but last time I geared alts, they just sat unused until next patch, where crafting gear is superior anyways--so what's the point? What is gear even useful for, when everything seems to sync down? Maybe for faster maps and bicolor gemstone farming on high lvl fates?
So, what do you do roulettes for and why?
After you accomplish your gearing goals, as you have, the tomes farm is still very handy for leveling desynthing. ^_^
I actually quite enjoy running dailies for different reasons. I can confidently say I'm a giga turbo casual who simply enjoys existing in Eorzea. It's my second home away from the madness. all of my alts have had their tomestones capped for several months now, so I guess it could be seen as pointless? I started playing on Dynamis since the queues are pretty fast compared to Crystal. I also made an alt on the JP servers to practice my Japanese too, so it's been a nice bonus ^^
I like running dungeon roulettes as a warm-up. When I play with an experienced tank or healer, I have fun pushing the limits on how greedy I can play in older content while keeping the party alive. I admit it can be interpreted as a very selfish way to play, so I've tried to do that less often nowadays. When I notice the healer is struggling, I like to drop them some basic tips, and seeing them improve as the dungeon goes on is a feeling I cannot describe. Watching the WHM go from relying on Cure1 to confidently using Cure2, Regen, and Holy makes my day [:
I like running Trials because it's the only time I play my DPS jobs outside of MSQ. I quite like testing different variations of my rotations to see what works best. I do not use any rotation guides or add-ons, as that defeats the purpose of learning the ins and outs of my jobs, which is one of the only sources of entertainment I can get from the watered-down husks they've become. I like running Alliance raids for the same reasons too, but since I usually get Crystal Tower from the roulette, I tend to manually queue for the fun ones like Weeping City, Dun Scaith, Orbonne, or Puppet's Bunker. I must have run Dun Scaith a thousand times to get my Scathach minion, and Deathgaze Hollow has THE BEST OST hands down, you cannot change my mind.
