What do you do roulettes for?

I want to do roulettes, but can't bring myself to justify doing them, because it all seems pointless.

-I'm BiS savage geared
-I've the OC relic weapons
-I've done 2k mentor roulettes already
-Mogtome rewards are bad, as usual

Seems gearing alts and finishing my last 3 jobs is the only thing, but last time I geared alts, they just sat unused until next patch, where crafting gear is superior anyways--so what's the point? What is gear even useful for, when everything seems to sync down? Maybe for faster maps and bicolor gemstone farming on high lvl fates?

Ok? Neither is an achievement, so idk what you're on about, but thanks I guess? I just wanna play the game, but it all seems pointless once you hit a certain threshold. If there was other uses for tomestones, that'd be nice.

for the relic weapons and getting the tomes to get 750 gear with....

I wish there was more to the game.

As a casually skilled player who plays erratic hours.

A) Capping tomestones. Hunts just aren't always available, especially thanks to cross world parties obliterating multiple worlds/DCs.
B) Bonus gil. If it's Healer or DPS in need, that's a nice chunk of change.
C) Relics. Both Manderville (Poetics, 3.25 to go) and Phantom (Heliometry).

I won't say they're fun most of the time, but being a healer who hates the meta of "the last HP is the that counts" I get plenty of time in random queues to give people some heals at 70-80%.

But then again, I only run "Expert" (hah), Alliance Raid, Normal Raid, and MSQ. Level Cap dungeons should just be merged back into Expert and High Level doesn't give top tier tomestones so meh. Leveling, bleh. And Trials, at max level, generally feel like a poor time spent/effort to reward ratio at max level

For Weekly green tomes to gear up my tank and daily pink tomes for relic weapons (for stage 2?) tho I already have ninja and all 4 tank first stage weapons already done xD

I just think they are fun. Especially trial roulettes. Unless I get Endwalker/Dawntrail trials. Then I'm sad.

you know, just because something exists, its doesnt mean, that you have to do it

this game is a theme party, do whatever you enjoy or dont play it at all
I do rous for leveling classes, so most likely with 8.0 again
