What do you do roulettes for?

I want to do roulettes, but can't bring myself to justify doing them, because it all seems pointless.

-I'm BiS savage geared
-I've the OC relic weapons
-I've done 2k mentor roulettes already
-Mogtome rewards are bad, as usual

Seems gearing alts and finishing my last 3 jobs is the only thing, but last time I geared alts, they just sat unused until next patch, where crafting gear is superior anyways--so what's the point? What is gear even useful for, when everything seems to sync down? Maybe for faster maps and bicolor gemstone farming on high lvl fates?

So, what do you do roulettes for and why?

- Tomes (alt gear or crafting components or whatever I want them for)
- WT
- Leveling alt classes when they aren't 100
- Fun

Well, there are those of us that

- aren't savage geared, so the 750 stuff is the best we will get for our main jobs and maybe an alt
- haven't farmed all the OC relics already. Doing enough roulettes to cap tomes each week I have a total of 5 OC relics, so have many to go
- haven't done 2K mentor roulettes (that sounds awful not gonna lie)
- still have a few things in mogtomes we might want
- may not have levelled all jobs already

So, for me it's to slowly get the 750 gear for my two favorite roles along with more OC relics.

Before I max levelled everything, I'd do them to level jobs too though now I don't need to do them for that.

- Level jobs each expansion.
- Used to do it for tank mounts, done that though.
- Do mentor roulette daily currently. About to finish getting the mount from that within days though.
- Expert to cap tomestones if I can handle doing the same dungeon for the 180th time.

Gear is useful: in Expert, in level 100 Alliance Raids / Trials / Extremes / Normal Raids / Savage, for hunts, for FATEs near level 100, outside portion of maps, and within tier they are useful for Ultimate, Chaotic, Variant and Criterion.

Regardless whether I'm raiding or not (I used to, not anymore nowadays), roulettes will always be higher in priority within my 'to-do' lists when I can play. There could be many overlapping reasons why I want to do them at any given time, but when I do queue for any, one reason that's never been absent is "I like having a daily routine to do in my gaming time". Dungeon roulettes in particular are my favorite because I finally get to use my AoE-only buttons lol.

When getting jobs up to max level I'd do roulettes for the EXP most of the time I'd have or almost have every job maxed before the .1 patch.
Now even with the patch cycle being longer and .3 is still a ways off. I still don't have all my combat jobs maxed yet. Also not doing tome grinding.

So, any of the reasons I'd do a roulette would be just to run something with friends if they happen to have a free space for the 8 man stuff.
Because there isn't anything fun or anything to gain from doing battle content anymore.

Tomes and alt job leveling and that is IT. I can't be bothered queueing into something that is sub-80 since I'd rather gnaw my own leg off for the sheer mental stimulation than play with a kit that's truncated from what it is at max level.

- Tomes for alt jobs since I finally finished my caster gears to the highest w/o raiding
- I like mentor rous and I'm working on it as one of my big long-term goals in-game
- I like most dungeons and trials, I never see them after MSQ is finished unless event
- Part of my morning routine for a long time now, even if I didn't cap tomes every single week or month

There's no need for gear grind this major patch, one BiS gear is plenty.

Mogtome is great for treasure maps if you like to grind achievements.

patch 7.3 - 7.35 will be an excellent time to take a few weeks break from the game if you ask me.
