Why does the Moogle Treasure Trove event give you incompletable weekly challenges?

Basically what it says in the title, my weekly challenge for this week is to participate in the dead game mode that is Rival Wings Hidden Gorge. I spent two hours queuing on Tuesday, three hours Wednesday and I am currently in another hour long queue now on Primal NA (all at different times of the day too).

Why and how is this fair to give some players weekly challenges that relies on other people queueing for a game mode that no one does?

The PVP servers / groups are useless, the only advice they have is to "Just wait in the queue lol" or "Pay for a world change to EU" when I unfortunately do not have endless hours in which I can sit at a desk for a game of PVP that's obviously not happening?

I swear this happens to me every event. They either need to retire this game mode from the Moogle Treasure Trove challenges, so the rewards are not unfairly rigged against certain players, or add a Roulette for it. It is genuinely so frustrating to want to play this game and this event and not being able to get the same rewards everyone else can easily get because of this flawed system!

Fair warning, everyone and their mother is about to come in here and tell you how you're playing the game wrong. Their proposed solutions:

- Join a PvP specific discord (JUST TO COMPLETE A WEEKLY???)
- Go to another DC (they'll tell you which one)
- Wait, you didn't go to the DC at the right time, it's your fault
- Actually you know what, everything is your fault. You should be doing this and that and xyz instead of expecting free handouts and-
- Nothing actually constructive. It's a dead game mode, they gave it to us, it's trash game design, the devs do not care
- This one is a freebie, feel free to add what you like :3 _______________________________________________________________________

I've been doing Rival Wings for a few hours each evening on Primal. The queues slow down the later the night goes, but they are definitely popping.

My alt is max lvl 60 at heavensward msq in churning mists and the only option she has for moogle tomestones is to do dungeons on repeat as they havnt unlocked any of the weekly or ultimate content that gives the bonus 20 or 70 tomes. That to me is a bigger issue, that newer players cant really unlock any of the challenges to get a nice quick boost in the number of tomes and it is most likely them that havnt got any of the speed maps, mounts, cards or minions.

not sure when you've been doing it but i've been in a queue for 5 hours now from 10am to 3pm PST, and it was the same the days before when i queued at 4pm to 10pm PST. i guess you got lucky

yeah this is actual insanity, they know nobody plays it and its such a simple fix to remove it from the treasure troves but they don't. and yeah the other players in the discord servers are just ride or die bootlickers that can't handle any criticism towards this game, even when its a feature that provenly doesnt work. ah well, maybe next event i'll be able to participate lmao

For low level alts you can always do Gold Saucer which is faster and available to everyone too.

Yeah, I got the Hidden Gorge quest too. I DC traveled to Primal in the evening, around 3 PM, and it was super fast compared to the over 30+ min queue on Aether at night on weekends.
