I'm not gonna write a list for you right now, but the content in 7.0 is the most we've ever got in any expansion, ever. People may not like to be told that, but it's a fact. Now, that content might only be consumed by them 1 time and they might not see it as repeatable, or the content may not interest them, but that does not mean they are producing less content.

You are correct we got content faster but they had less content to produce back then, so.
On the topic of Dungeons. I am bored by em. Dungeons are just not fun anymore.
Part of it is the lack of variety in expert roulette and having less regular dungeons. Level Cap roulette needs merging into Expert. Another part of it is part of the party dynamics and holy trinity being eroded, so we'll have to hope they improve this in 8.0. Another part of it is abandoning certain ideas they had for dungeons in ARR, HW and Shadowbringers.
Heck even Yoshida himself stated that he falls asleep in em.
It is his intention to be doing better with them in Dawntrail. Whether he is, I'll let you judge.
Another problem the game has is the empty and boring overworlds.
Rest assured, this comes up on the forums frequently.
    The new player experience sucks.
It doesn't really. It would be nice to get a mount a bit earlier. It would be nice if all cutscenes were voiced. But other than that, the new player experience is great. Only having 2 attacks is helpful for a lot of players because they don't understand the game and more would be overwhelming to them, with rare exceptions when the person is an "MMO veteran". The only people who find the experience a problem is people that can't handle reading unvoiced text or who have a friend that is urging them to rush to endgame for the raids.
On the matter of old content. We have lots that has been abandoned over the years. Many old systems that could need an overhaul.
I agree that they ignore almost everything except the upcoming patch or expansion. Obviously they don't assign development resources to quality of life and polishing old systems much, to the point the friends list, linkshells, FC applications, bloated menus just persist for a decade.
We only get new A and S rank Hunts once per expansion and usually at x.2 they are already so weak that they get insanely boring. Why cant we drop new ones during an expansion?
As a hunter, it would be nice, but I can handle just new ones for each expansion I suppose.
Hunting 2000 S-Ranks just to get a mount takes way to long.
It really doesn't. You can do it in 1-3 months. It used to take longer, but now you can visit other worlds and data centers. This achievement helps people to keep doing the content. Without this, they'd be as ignored as FATEs were for most of the game's life, which had no purpose or community around them unlike hunts, and adding voucher mounts was a first step to giving you a reason to do them long-term.

I do miss hard variants of dungeons, they were nice and simple.
Though, I'd say I've done the least amount of content in this expansion compared to the others.

but is it reeally content though when its all the same boring repetitious formula ad nauseam?
just because its a different coat of paint doesn't make it any less predictable or fun for that matter
maybe thats fine with you good for you but a game thats so easily predictable that i can list almost everything we'll be getting in the coming patches is not something worth "looking forward too" nor is it worth my fee in subscription or exciting for that matter.
i dont want a second job in life i play games to have fun an be surprised or thrilled not be a cog in the machine so take this nonsense out of here.
WE NEED more innovation period. they need to re-invent how gameplay functions in order for it stay relevant. not just keep re-hashing all the same boring stuff we've been doing FOR YEARS now.

    2.2 :New Content
Main Story: Through the Maelstrom (19 quests, later reduced to 14 in patch 5.3)
Side Story: Hildibrand, Agent of Enquiry Chapter 2 (4 quests)
Dungeons: *The Lost City of Amdapor, *Halatali (Hard), *Brayflox's Longstop (Hard)
Trials: *The Whorleater (Hard), *The Whorleater (Extreme), *Thornmarch (Extreme), *Battle on the Big Bridge
Raid Series: *The Second Coil of Bahamut
Beast Tribe Quests and Reputation: Sahagin and Kobolds
Zodiac Weapons third and fourth part added
**Cast Glamour: Allows the player to transform the appearance of his or her gear to match that of other gear, with some restrictions.
    Housing: Gardening added
    Retainer Ventures added
*Duty Roulette: Expert and *Duty Roulette: Trials added
    Challenge Log added
    Big Fishing added
The visual appearance of the Goblet residential area has been redesigned.

    7,2 New Content
    Patch 7.2
Main Story: Seekers of Eternity (8 quests)
    Raid Series: *AAC Cruiserweight Tier,
Savage will release one week after normal
Side Story: Additional Cornservant Quest: When Death Comes to Dinner
    Dungeon: *The Underkeep
    Trials: *Recollection, *Recollection (Extreme)
    Faux Hollows: *Hells' Kier (Unreal)
Notice how much shorter the list is? And please understand this comparison is just 2.2 vs 7.2
Everything that came after is not included. So Occult Crescent in 7.25 is not part of this.
Neither is the fact that 2.2 added ps4 support and another relic step during its cycle cause they did not do it at release.
Relics also started right away in 2.0 that's why 2.2 is already 3rd and 4th step ( and later 5th even) Meanwhile Dawntrail relic only starts in 7.25
Right so your list is ignoring a few things. We are also getting a new Alliance Raid, and while other things will be added later they are still technically part of the 7.2 development cycle regardless of how it is being drip fed, which is a different issue altogether. I am personally against the drip feeding and wish SE would stop it. I really don't know why they went with it since the rest of the content, as stated earlier, is developed as part of the 7.2 patch. So 7.2 content would also include: New Deep Dungeon, New Society Quests, New Hildibrand, New Cosmic exploration, the next relic step, speech bubbles, and possible housing changes that they noted would be discussed in the next live letter for 7.2.

Yes. "The content is boring" is not the same argument as "there is no content."

As a matter of fact. Yes i said i was ignoring things. I compared 2.2 Release to 7.2 Release.
Just these Patches as they released.
Anything that came in later " extra patches " like 2.2x and 7.2x were ignoreed.
2.2 also drip fed other stuff.

That was a lot of stuff to read, it's obvious you're passionate about the game.

Some I agree, some I don't care, but this here:

I absolutely disagree. I do not want to prepare for a fight by memorizing 32 different boss spells and the exact meaning where to run when the boss casts spell 18. This is a game, not a Latin school exam. I'm all for challenging fights, but decyphering crude boss emotes in real time is not challenging - it's annoying. That's why I don't bother with anything in this game beyond the MSQ.

I really hope you're getting better. And I also hope you're not trying to use this horrible event to further your point, as in "when I can play savage with a stroke, everybody can".

I'm still waiting for the fracking extra glam plates we were promised BEFORE Dawntrail dropped! I had to dump some casual sets to make room for 7 lvl 100 body pieces in my armory the other day, so when i come back to the game after knockign out my PS4 backlog i can actually level! How hard is it to shrink the glam plate editor a bit and add another row of ten plates under the first two??? And when can we change the insides of our houses? I don't mean what's there now (like making it look like a different city's inside or blank white walls w/o columns), I mean making the inside of a cottage have a MANSION interior.... or vice versa for some odd reason if you wanted to.
