Any other EU players interested in getting ultima horns? (special FATE Prey Online)

I'm looking to get this head piece 'Ultima Horns' from the the exoplating alloys you acquire from the special FATE 'Prey Online' (boss: Noctilucale, giant plant). It's from Azys Lla and spawns at one of 3 locations for 30 mins after a random weather event 'hyperelectricity' where the sky goes red. The weather event only happens for about 3 minutes or so and is easily missed, you need to see the weather change to know the FATE has spawned. It happens after the 36 hour respawn window. You'd also need to do this FATE twice as can only get 3/5 needed per FATE.

There's a few of these FATEs capped on Faloop tracker, and I can do a shout to a hunt linkshell if it spawns. But I'm sitting there watching the sky and figured if there's any other EU players looking to get the horns, might be worth working with someone (more eyes in different servers). I'm on Chaos DC.

If it's capped, a spawn was very likely missed. You can be waiting there 3 days in some cases. I've seen people handling it solo or duo before, it's mainly just catching that weather change without being tabbed out or away.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice, there's a few that have been capped for around 180 hours, but also one that just reached cap this evening, Cerberus I think that was. I swear you as much as go to the bathroom you can miss it. If you do miss it, does it not spawn again until server reset?

These special FATEs (of which, there are typically 2 per expansion), tend to have a respawn time of either 24-48 hours or 36-72 hours.

ARR and Heavensward are outliers though. Odin is often seen again after 24-72 hours, Behemoth can spawn again as early as 24 hours as well, Coeurlregina's second and third FATEs can take up to 9 hours each, and while Prey Online can respawn in as little as 24 hours I could swear I've seen it take a little more than 72 hours, but it's hard to be sure with that one given how easy it is to miss a spawn.

If you (and everyone else) miss the FATE, what happens is it expires after 30 minutes has elapsed. Then the respawn time begins again. This isn't shown on the website you're looking at because nobody saw it die and therefore nobody reported its time of death/expiration.

Occasionally, people want the glamour from it, but since it has no achievement, it's not really the most popular FATE.

In patch 3.5 they reduced the respawn time of the special FATEs of ARR and HW.
