Having experienced the immense frustration that comes with trying to figure out glamour plates, I must express that I feel that this part of the UI is the worst among a lot of very poor design choices. It all seems to be about as far from intuitive as one could get without straying into the territory of purposefully obstructive. Am I the only one that feels this way?

It pretty much mimics your character gear selection screen. If you right click on an item there, it will open that tab in your armory for you to select a piece of gear. Same for glamour plates. You can choose to open the Armoire and select an appearance in there as well. If you know how to use glamour already, it's fairly intuitive.

Japanese companies don't know how to make UIs for some reason. It's been a thing forever.

Took me a minute to figure out as well... you don't realize it anymore after you've done it a million times while playing, but some things in this game are seriously confusing lol trying to explain some of these to a sprout really brings it to light.

indeed. you would think something you want someone to click would be made to look like a button.
