Gear for different crafting/gathering class: One question

I'm sorry, I need to double post to re-activate the issue. I wanted to use same gear for my botanist, miner and fisher, but it didn't work.

For example, as a fisher I use a level 200 augmented tackelkeep's cap gear. When I swap to botanist, I can't equip that gear at all. All pieces are disabled in my armoury chest (dark icon), with a blue X in the bottom left corner. So as a botanist, it seems I need to purchase another set?

On the other hand, no problem for the jewels. It's not working only for the gear.

There are two things that could cause this. The first is if your fisher is a higher level than the botanist, so that the botanist can't wear the higher level gear that the fisher can.

The second cause, which is causing your particular issue, is if the gear is in fact just for fisher. It's rare that gear is exclusively for 1 class only, but it does happen in rare cases such as the class-themed gear for each expansion. If you get crafted/vendor or higher level scrip gear it will normally share it between classes.

I recommended looking to see before obtaining gear. When you hover a cursor over the gear, it will say:
FSH
Lv. 60
and what you're looking for is gear that is like:
Disciple of the Land
