Would be better if not for the rotation drift.

That'd just be filler, I kinda feel that'd be a waste of the concept.
However, "More Continuation" is kinda cool, but it could be used to de-bloat hotbar, by making a lot of skills continuations of each other. For example the main 1-2-3 combo could be one. Every 2 minutes Continuation can be pressed without a buff for it, in which case it caps your cartridges (and gives the Lionheart combo), another skill slot freed up. Could even go as far as Continuation from or to defensive skills or their secondary effects? Maybe HoC by itself is only damage reduction, Continuation casts the Excog?
Sounds more annoying than anything, you only have so many weave slots to put continuations into.
I would rather move AWAY from the 2 minute META and focus more on sustained DPS instead. That'd just be filler, I kinda feel that'd be a waste of the concept.

And trying to make Continuation be used defensively sounds like a TERRIBLE idea...
As for the whole "filler" argument... It would still be more engaging than level 100 Dark Knight...
That is good point that I agree on. Basic Continuation skills on the basic combos deal 100-200 potency, with big burst Continuation skills dealing 300-800 potency depending on the GCD used, with Sonic Break's Continuation skill being the same potency but also applying a second DoT that isn's Sonic Break or Bow Shock DoT...
Yeah like I dunno, massive self-healing or something. Devs ought to consider that.
This is how I see that, too. Plus it's not like it's an end-of-the-world damage-loss to triple-weave (of note: The damage gain cannot be high enough that you'd want to do this in all cases, or it breaks the whole player-skill-expression thing), so there's no truly punishing failure state, but it shows optimization to be able to double-weave everything without skipping defensive CDs.
