Thread: 8.0 and World

I suppose they could take a page from Tactics Advance 2's incarnation of Viking. Themed around water and storms and surprisingly quick for a class that lugs about a slab of metal.

Though if I had my way we'd prbably get a Tank like Guardian from Bravely Second. If only it'd actually make mechanical sense.

I understand I'm actually a bit of a nerd for Norse history and mythos, but it's really a bummer that everyone hears "viking" and thinks berserker with horned helmet. Berserkers were exceedingly rare, and that helmet isn't historically accurate.

Meanwhile, Odin was a spearman that impaled himself to the world tree to learn the magical language of Runes and learned the previously female only magic from Freya because he wanted to know everything. Loki is a shapeshifter, Thor is a storm god that was really like flexing on giants to protect humans. That's just the well known ones.

We can be creative.

I have a hunch that Beast Master is gonna have Viking vibes to it.

8.0 will probably focus on shard travel. Expect this to be where the Thirteenth's relevant again. If it were up to me I'd leave the Scions EXCEPT for Y'shtola, who desperately needs more of a character arc.
