Get used to it. Pc and console players are going to be a afterthought if ff14 mobile is more successful, considering how player decline is happening and Mobile has a very wide market it feels pretty inevitable.
It's a shame because I much prefer PC gaming but ff14 has already followed a trend of making everything supper friendly and sanitized to the point where a mobile version looks pretty on par with it, if not better.

To be honest it's actually terrifying, PC FF14 won't be able to compete with FF14 Mobile if it gets big enough. The best scenario for us is that it dies like most of Square Enix's live service slop.

As much of a predatory mobile massacre as the mobile ffxiv is. I hope it continues making the basegame look like leftovers on a dogbowl. Might finally drive a fire under the ass of the CEO and devs to make the base game better. Because WoW's success sure as heck doesnt.
Honestly, out of all the mobile updates, I feel like anything with Fates is just miserable in either game. Also, mobile is already nerfed beyond gameplay, like imagine trying to do raids on my phone, already, along with dodging AoE, it's rough enough.
I have no intention on going mobile but I do hope more topics like these are made with QoL comparisons just to remind the community that maybe there can be some positive changes at a quicker pace and instead of waiting for this '8.0' etc to save it all.
As far as I could see, the combat is really simplistic, but it does feel more dynamic. One thing I've noticed is that healers are almost as mobile as Phys Ranged, barely without cast times anymore. Footage of the WHM lalafell floating left and right most of the time.
I think the innate server lag is different there, or at least seemed so, because overall the game looked way faster.

Yeah see, and this is why I'll never touch the mobile version. Which makes it all the more disappointing that their devteam seems bent on trying new things. It's like someone wished on a monkey's paw or something. I couldn't stop laughing seeing them implement all these overworld changes for a mobile game that I have 0 desire to play because I hate mobile games.From what I also have been told, the combat is far more mediocre and floaty. And the MTX is far more aggressive, too.
And no idea why people think skipping cutscenes in Prae/Castrum should be a thing - Because SE will adjust the rewards to match it, so you will still lose out.
RE: pra/castrum cs skipping, because there's 0 reason to watch all that crap if you've already seen it. They can adjust the rewards if they want; as it stands i just avoid that "roulette" like the plague. It's dogshit, lol.
A lot of the features in mobile would be welcomed in the console/PC version such as the glam and dye system where you only have to buy the initial dye on a piece of glam and then you can use it anytime and the glam being added to a collection.
