I just got an account warning for "grief tactics" and I literally have no idea why

I'm trying to figure out what I did here and I really don't know. The day it happened, I only did two things that were with other players: a single roulette raid and Frontlines. I said a few snarky things in chat, I'll admit, so I could understand if I had gotten a warning for language or something of that nature, but I have no idea what I could have done to get this.

Here's the TOS I supposedly violated.

3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.

This has me scared to continue playing the game. I don't want to pour time and money into an account just to have it banned for literally no reason.

Generally, this happens if you are reported. So whatever you did motivated someone to go through the trouble of typing a big support ticket about it. It could have been the snarky comments since being polite to others is a basic thing, and SE see it this way too. Simply not being polite may lead to someone reporting.

I mean, I get that, but I was literally just telling jokes in a Frontlines match. Does interfering with play include typing in chat excessively? Because I've gotten coms for that before, and if I have to make a judgement call on how much talking is okay every instance I'm in, I'd rather just leave this nest of vipers.

Were you actively playing or were you sitting in spawn typing in chat for the majority of the match?

I was actively playing. My KDA at the end was something like 6/4/10.

It's quite possible that any typing in chat in a FL match on topics other than the battle will get you reported. There isn't time in a fast-paced duty like that to be typing.

Simple solution, stop typing and play the game.

I guess this ain't the place for me then. Glad I only spent $60 before figuring that out.

Jokes are fine. I've done jokes for years (runs in my family that we become known for them among those we know). But got to consider if there is any way in which it could be seen as offensive - most people won't see it as that, but if it's even possible for someone to, it's not worth saying it in the game. It's safest not to make a player the target of said joke in case they take it the wrong way. Targeting jokes at NPCs or the environment makes it impossible for anyone to feel attacked since those things can't take offense.

It's also best to avoid things that could be considered politics or isms. I know it means some jokes get scrapped, but almost everywhere has rules like this, technically even discord although you'll likely be fine if it's a small friend server that you own.

I'm the type to come up with jokes instantly in response, but just got to delay a second or two and consider if it's polite or targeting a player or could fall under anything I mentioned by some interpretations.

Is it really that difficult to play a Frontline match without telling jokes? The chat is used for team coordination.

You can likely get away with a couple if you just can't help yourself, but if you got up to five I'm surprised you didn't get vote-kicked.

The punishment tends to depend on the GM who handles the report, but in NA it would be more common for you to get a 10-day suspension than a warning.

    I don't think that's the point, Jeeqbit.

The cut scenes in Prae are an excellent opportunity to chat with the team and be funny.

In Frontline, off-topic text appearing in the chatbox is incredibly disruptive because people are waiting for pinch warnings and call-outs. And as mentioned above, if you're making an honest attempt to help the team, you don't have time for a stand-up routine.
