It's pretty sad how little story there is, I thought the Bozja villains talked too much but characters with real personalities and a real conflict makes a big difference to a story. Meanwhile I can't even tell this tonberry that we can cure him now.

Maybe so, but I assume North Horn will have its own notes, and there might be an achievement or mount for collecting them all. And I’m just a lore collector in general.
Anyone even considering running the Tower is already spoiled on that by watching all the guides! lolLike for people who haven’t done forked do you even know what dead stars looks like because they do not match their name
At this point, if they don’t make a Normal mode, make an Exploratory mode for people to be able to get the notes. Show ghostly visions of the monsters as you walk through. I’m kinda joking with that… I would obviously prefer a Normal mode that I could grind for the notes that are random drop and go through to get the ones that are survey points. But I want the “spicy but doable” level of difficulty we had in Bozja’s dungeons.
With the rez limit and wipe restrictions, and the sheer amount of places said wipes can happen, I’m pretty much waiting til groups start offering carry runs. If it weren’t for that, if the wipes didn’t mean game over and I could get more than three rezzes, I’d definitely try to practice and learn it. I did Chaotic after all, in PF no less! But I still go over my 3 rez limit in some of the CEs (Urn especially!), so I don’t think I could go through a whole dungeon on just three lives, let alone avoid the 20-some places I could wipe the whole thing.
If it cheers you up, I still die on urn and I cleared FT like, weeks ago. Carry runs will be difficult to do unless someone stays with you after you die and then raises you after everything is dead. Which would kind of be... bad. And you can't get carried through fucking up Magitaur AoEs.
Midcore is when you take a look at an Ultimate, nod along sagely to a guide and decide to do it when you get 12 months of uninterrupted vacation, which is to say: never.

It is actually very possible and easy to carry someone through FT. All the person has to do is do boss 1 with no deaths, then wall themselves at the start of boss 2, 3 and 4, none of the fights last more than 10 minutes, so it's easy to just raise them afterwards. Hallways, bridges and lockwards is just a matter of sticking close to your healer (or just being afk at spawn for lockwards since it doesn't even require everyone to be there). If it cheers you up, I still die on urn and I cleared FT like, weeks ago. I mean, the type of person who can't do FT themselves would probably die on boss 1, hallways, bridges and final hallway, ngl. But yeah it's fine with a halfway competent player, but said player would just... do FT themselves lmao

To be fair boss 1, hallways, bridges and lockwards together have literally a single personal responsibility mechanic between them (if you aren’t running an essential job)-> meteors and meteors give you an entire year to resolve and they can be survived if messed up anyway
Everything else can be called out as straight up “don’t touch this” or “don’t stand here still the geo does their thing” which is different from “if you have the snowball tether you must resolve it correctly”
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
