$18 an outfit that doesn't even come with gloves, and the hat doesn't seem to work for Viera or Hrothgar, when a big point in 7.3 was that Viera and Hrothgar would finally be able to wear hats! If you want the gloves, get ready to pay another $6! Oh, what's that? You wanted the sleeves rolled up? Sorry, that's another $18, you poor fuck! What's next? Am I gonna have to pay an extra $18 for the privilege of getting a set of very slightly modified ARR gear in a specific color that could've just been dyed? Am I gonna have to pay an extra $18 to get every single permutation of that outfit as a one-piece?

This legitimately feels like an insult to the community at large, and should be treated as such. Charging $42 for a full mogstation outfit that, by the way, isn't even account-wide, if you want it on a different character, you still need to buy the whole damn $42 outfit again, should be legitimately unthinkable. They do this shit and then wonder why people just mod the outfits onto their characters. The mogstation team gets to be this inexcusably greedy while the money this game and its subs rake in get misappropriated by SE to fund whatever their next game that takes ten years to develop and will be DOA will be. Something's gotta change, and they're only gonna change when they see sales go down.

No amount of anger will ever change things, might as well learn to accept it and save yourself the stress. It should be a breaking point but I doubt it will be. I was thinking on everything Dawntrail has done wrong but I think for me this is truly tone-deaf after the recent LL.

I think Dawntrail in general should be treated as a insult to the community's intelligence. Sure would've been nice to include glam rewards like these in the lockboxes in the new exploratory zone yeah? No, they chose to include rare drops from the other ones which people grinded for ages to get.

Why even BOTHER grinding for something rare in this game like people do in regular MMO's if they release them in easy to pick lockboxes later.

Yeah - to be fair, I suspect the average player likely doesn't give the external factors (such as SE failing to fund the game from the money it generates) much thought. In fact I daresay there are those who think they're actually supporting the game by buying these items.

Genuine question, is Dawntrail your first expansion? They've been doing these collabs forever, this is nothing new. Don't get me wrong, it still sucks, but let's not pretend this is somehow a Dawntrail only issue, because that'd be disingenuous.

You are correct, I 2000% agree with you. If I could wish for anything in this world it'd be to remove mogslop items from the game entirely, and close off the online store.
