Whats the point of getting better Gear?

Current expansion level cap instanced content (dungeons, trials, raids) don't sync you, so unless you're in a party that wants min ilvl: the better the gear, the easier the fight you're about to take on!

And its three different groups really. Group A wants overgearing and unsynching to trivalize hard content. Group B wants more difficult content but doesn't want unsynching. Group C wants overgearing, unsynching, and difficult content.

Don't pretend like this is an issue. If you aren't raiding you can't even realistically be on a gear treadmill. We also only get upgrades to gear ever 9 months. This is a non-issue.
