Forked Tower very unfortunate incident happened and why I'll quit

Today I had an unfortunate event happen to me, I was in a discord where u have to sign up in advance to do FT prog, over the weeks I made it till boss 4 mostly deathless (unless someone in group causes wipes), despite that and signing up early and showing up 20 mins before the specified time, I was removed from party and replaced with someone else... they didnt really give me a valid reason but most likely they replaced me with one of their friend, but yea this community really isn't as welcoming as it was pre endwalker and they only want u in to fill as bodies to reach their goals... and this was the final straw for me so despite me trying hard to fit in and get things done but however this is a very flawed system they made where u have to depend on discords and I hope the game flops harder and goes in the trashbin, I'll definitely be unsubbing once my current sub runs out (I was already unhappy with the state of DRK and I only raided and played for the few friends that still exist inside the game, I mostly only play DRK)

I don't think yoshi p or the devs will grow a brain anytime soon and things will remain stale as is so I am quitting, thank you for reading my rant

You're right he should have just queued in and hoped the 47 other random people were at his prog point because that is definitely a thing that happens and is a viable way to prog FT!

And if you queue as the game tells you to without any warning, you are accused of “sniping” (I did not even know what that meant till a few days ago) and get verbally abused. I so regret renewing my subscription, won’t happen again.

There could have been reasons for it such as them not seeing you on the list of participants. It's hard for me to be sure if you followed their sign-up procedures correctly. There are also some servers that pick random users from the list of sign-ups so that the spot isn't guaranteed, to give everyone a fair chance similar to the housing lottery system.

Even if it was malicious, it's just one discord server out of many that exist across many data centers, so it's not necessarily fair to judge all discord servers based on the actions of one discord server.

It may not even be something the discord server agrees with; it may have been the organzier of that specific run and you may be able to report that organizer to the server owners. Because it's not strictly the discord server owners that create the runs. The server is just a platform for players to organize them.

Usually these are actually public discord servers listed as Community Servers in Server Discovery. This generally means they are intended to provide a service to users, unlike a small "friend server".

In fairness, it is SE's fault for not having a normal mode or making the access better for both casual and organized runs.

This entire problem is due to poor content design. The ONLY way you can do this content is using a Discord community to get int a group.

I'm not mad at Yoshi, I'm not sure if he's the guy but I'm defo MAD.
We shouldn't depend on discords to play content.
Why does this content that people have been waiting for in months, maybe years, turn out to be exclusive to a system that requires EXTENSIVE preparation.
This is a game, not a real life job that needs a big commitment.

I feel the same way with the chaotic raid but at least that one has a way to PUG, albeit with SO MUCH HASSLE.

Baldesion Arsenal is the same discord requiring song and dance, and people still defend it to this day because it's easier to prog due to being able to PF for it.
