Why Does the Forked Tower Kick You, Delevel You, and Keep Your Cipher If you DC?

To be fair, you're in there with 48 different people if you're going into Forked Tower. I've been in there myself and had my time wasted, only to get up and try again. Why? Because I want to clear it. If you're going to argue that Occult Crescent doesn't value your time, make a better statement than just that. Literally the best thing you can do is try again in their instance because crap happens.

tbf why does it delvl you at all? its one thing on the open map. (even though it feels more like its there so people can get their ress achievement xD)
but in the instance someone elses mistake can kill everybody?

as a hindrance to reach maxlvl? ok. but i dont think it does make a lot of sense once you are max lvl

It delevels you since that's the system they chose. Regardless, the loss of Knowledge Points is negligible given how often FATEs and CEs come up. At most, it takes just a few FATEs and a CE to even return back to 20.

You used the cipher to get in. You are only refunded if you don't make it into forked tower. Ciphers are cheap af anyway. Also, you only need 16 ciphers donated to ensure everyone else gets in. You would have to put one in to ensure you're chosen if there are more than 48 pcs on the pad. I don't really see this as an issue since refunding a cipher for a dc could be abused by bad actors.
