Probably boils down to cultural differences. The whole "surprise box" release of everything. It only works if the goodwill and trust are there.

They arent now. So I think they should start releasing roadmaps and clear layouts of what their 1-2 year plans are.

But at the same time I believe, we will only be getting PR jargon and "please look forward to it". And roundabout communication while Yoshi P marks up prices for merch by 200 dollars just because it has the FF-logo on it.

I agree with you. The surprise box method was good when the game was expected to be good because I'd rather not get spoilered by a PTR, leaks, or content creators talking about every upcoming details.

Nowadays, it's a must to build trust and goodwill again because the quality isn't there anymore.
