It raises a lot of questions to the director, such as:

    Are you happy with the design brick wall that healers have today?
    Are you happy with how almost superfluous the aiming role jobs are today? Are you even planning new aiming jobs with this scenario?
    Do you truly think that the 2 min meta shackling the job design is creatively good?

    We need communication. A 'Dev Talk', a letter, anything! At this rate all they are offering is the "Look Forward to it" that can be read more like a "Trust me bro".
    The design changes that a lot of people seem to want, like more complexity to the rotations or loosening/removal of the 2-minute mandate, are at odds with the job changes that were made to accommodate the high end fights they want to design. The reason for the enforcement of the 2-minute meta even came straight from an interview with the lead battle content designer: it makes fights easier to design and balance.

    Transparency and clear roadmaps aren't apart of the Square Enix culture. Doubt we'll know until they are done.
    Their Japanese way of communicating is super indirect too as a standard.

    And one of the consequences of stubbornly rejecting and ignoring the changes the audience wants to see is potentially not having a game to design fights for at all. It’s more than just job design of course, but Dawntrail’s numbers are slipping. It might not be the death of XIV right now, but they need to respond to the wound now.

    It’s like getting a large gash. Is that an immediate threat to your life? No. But you can either dress the wound so it heals quickly and without complications, or you can ignore it and risk possible infection and festering of the wound. The wound should’ve been dressed sooner, but there’s still time to treat it before the only solution becomes amputation.

    Im not asking for much. I'd just like Yoshida or whichever people they have in charge of job design write up a paragraph or something for each job with a very rough idea of what they might have in mind so people can give the most initial levels of feedback.

    Being realistic, the best bet we'll have is maybe the 3rd Fanfest. The first and the second will have just generic remarks, and as usual, we'll only know details of what's to come (tooltips, etc) via streamers a couple of weeks prior to launch.

    I'm not expecting any big job changes in 8.0 because:

    1) Yoshi thought it was better to improve combat design first, before improving job design.

    2) Yoshi's 7.2 improved combat design was an absolute joke. People are still trying to figure out what they changed.

    3) They are designing jobs to fit within their DDR fight design. Instead of allowing jobs to work on their own.

    4) The job design devs are utterly incompetent.

    I like how RDM was the easiest caster and now it’s the hardest and it’s the only one that didn’t change.

    The first thing they have to do before they do anything else with the jobs is to make sure that it has an actual SOLO PLAYSTYLE. All of the jobs are designed around raid bosses and 2-min bursts and hard rotations. Solo play just feels awkward when I'm getting to the next mob while being stuck in half a ''rotation''.
