Unity post - we're all frustrated.

There’s been a lot of talk in the community lately about whether FFXIV caters more to casuals or hardcores, and it’s starting to feel like the discourse is turning into an unproductive "us vs. them" debate. The truth is, both groups are frustrated—and for good reason. Casuals want content that lasts beyond a single patch, and hardcores want content that keeps them engaged between raid tiers. Right now, neither is getting what they truly need.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Square Enix doesn't have to pick a side. The game thrives when players of all stripes feel like their time is respected and rewarded. These systems aren’t mutually exclusive. In fact, they can exist side-by-side and even complement each other. The game doesn’t need to divide its playerbase to move forward, it needs to design systems that respect different types of engagement. Let’s stop treating each other like obstacles and start pushing for changes that raise the floor and the ceiling.

If we want a better FFXIV, it won’t come from demanding the devs cater more to one side. It’ll come from encouraging smarter, more inclusive design that supports all of us.

Yup. Skill sliders should be an even higher priority to the community than butt sliders.
