If it weren’t for both the rez limit and the plentiful wipe mechs, maybe. Those in place puts it beyond Extreme level. Plus the fact that it is an entire dungeon and not just a multi-phase boss fight to try and learn. The sheer amount of time it would require to both schedule and prog is beyond most casual players, and to me it pretty much kills any fun of it for it not to have a more relaxed, repeatable Normal mode.

I feel like it's pretty easy to get into it casually. I know someone will probably complain but there's discords for signing up and joining when you can and learning the raid.
As for wipe mechs ya do got me there. snow/fire ball prog be a thing. I don't consider the time to be an issue tho, especially with thinking it'll take that long to schedule thanks to the discords. It's current content afterall and people will be doing it for awhile! (looking at you 100 clears title)...though maybe my opinion might be a bit skewed on that thanks to living in pf hell in general.

Keep in mind I ain't against the normal mode, it was questionable they didn't have that...but I still do think it's not that difficult, least compared to drs or savages in general.

Do you think the people who are doing FT now for the 100 clears will do more runs after that to help new people or will it slowly die out after most of them are done with the achievement, at least for some time?

The normal mode for it IS there somewhat, but how to access and more and well the punishment of groups for 1-2 persons making a mistake, makes little sense at all for content that is supposed to be mainstream... to keep us all going for stuff as it is... and it is very frustrating with a game where you first have a better chance at stuff going with from eg. the discord servers out there.

The 3-rez limit shouldnt be a problem since you could, like, practice the fight and try to not die the next time you alive, but the rest is not the game fault, its basic human behaviour and is expected to get mistake (and thats okay!)

As I’ve said before, I learn by repetition. Three strikes and I’m out, I can’t practice. Wipe mechs get triggered, I can’t practice. I’d be lucky if I remember what I’m supposed to do by the next time I can get a new run scheduled, and I’m not learning anything while I’m on the floor. It’s not like an Ex trial where you wipe, you just try again with another pull til you get it right. It’s an entire dungeon, where not only do you have to hope that you yourself do everything exactly right the whole way through, but 47 other people! If some people find that kind of “challenge” appealing, more power to them, but I certainly don’t. It’s part of what made CAR so annoying and I don’t want to go through that again with double the amount of people!

The only fault here was not creating a Normal mode and going backwards to BA, after we had CLL, Dalriada, and the DRN/DRS split.

At any rate, my comments were in response to someone who said it would be easier later on because we’d be getting new phantom jobs, which isn’t really the case.

every player in there gets a +16% dmg/heal buff later on + the new job abilities + new/better gear. It WILL become easier in future
Also what stops you from watching a guide? The mechs in there arent rocket science and if you go with one of the many discords, you always will have callouts that literally tell you what to do for every mech. 3rd boss you can just autofollow your partylead and clear it.

Sure its frustrating if someone steps into a big trap and blows up the whole raid, but that thrill is part of the fun, being careful and responsible for what you are doing in there

New phantom jobs have the potential to make certain aspects easier

Like if a job had thief’s utility and oracles damage it would objectively make forked easier, it’s just the things that make it easier are not the things you wipe to

They intentionally future proofed it by not making dead stars killable till they combine

Sure its frustrating if someone steps into a big trap and blows up the whole raid, but that thrill is part of the fun, being careful and responsible for what you are doing in there

That thrill is anti fun to some people. I do not like the prospect of killing everyone with 1 mistake, I do not like the reverse of having to trust 40+ people to do their job right. I tried that in chaotic, the only thing I walked away with is feeling like I wasted my time.

I am gonna complain actually, you aren't the arbiter of what gets talked about. Just because you liked the raid doesn't mean it's perfect and doesn't deserve critcism/I shouldn't talk about why I disliked it.
