Question regarding sweepstakes rules

Hello,

I'm a fellow Warrior of Light from Spain and I've noticed that recently, none of the sweepstakes that have physical goods are excluding us from participating in them.

Did anything happen, or any law change that make it impossible to include Spain participants in these kind of sweepstakes events?

usually its some kind of local laws which prohibit it

none I know of, but I am not in Spain to know for sure

I am also from Spain and this is so disappointing and unfair.
No law that I'm aware of. Since Germany and France are countries from the EU, the same laws should apply to Spain too and to the rest of the EU countries.
I would really appreciate an official answer about why they are always excluding most of the EU countries out from this.

I suspect has something to do with this... probably more specifically tax regulations and "specific fiscal obligations"

In Spain, all prize promotions are submitted to the close control of the “Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego” (body of the “Ministerio de Hacienda y Administraciones Públicas”) and they are ruled by the “Ley 13/2011 de Regulación del Juego” dated 27/5/2011, that has amended and unified in a single text all the regulations on the subject of gambling and contests.

In Spain it is also necessary to observe specific tax regulations: also, prize promotions containing any elements of chance are subject to specific fiscal obligations, both at the initial stage of the promotion and after the delivery of prizes.

The problem is that the law you cite is from 13 years ago, and the exclusion only started to happen 2/3 years ago, so that shouldn't be the reason ������

The sweepstakes with physical reward should be open to the same countries that can do any other sweepstakes. The fact that we Spaniards cannot participate (or literally most other European countries) just makes no sense.

Same thing goes for the SE store: it should ship its goods to most countries or locations. This was the case until some time after the release of EW, when they decided to limit which countries and locations they could ship to.

From day 1 i haven't been able to take part, i cant even buy merch from the SE store as it doesn't have New Zealand as a shipping location, it defaults me too the Isle of Mann in the UK.
Last i checked its been over 100 years since NZ was part of the UK and we were never located in Europe....

I actually asked support about this in the past and they said its impossible for their system to be changed to accommodate people in OCE for shipping support, they wont even let us pay in US$ let alone NZ or AUS Dollars.
