actually mages start a fight with full mp only if they've allowed their mp to fill up. the dd starts with full tp if they have it built up.Starting with full TP doesn't seem like much of an "exteme". Mages start with full MP.
It kind of makes more sense this way.
Current System: "Man I'm tired from all this resting, I wont be able to do epic moves till I start bashing on stuff"
New 2.0 System: "RAWR!!!!"
As someone who plays PLD mostly. I'll gladly start a fight with Def Down.
Now maybe we can convince them to reset all cooldowns between fights /jk

From the details I have so far, I like it. Obviously things are going to get adjusted from how they currently are. After all, new TP max is 1000, and I have quite a few skills that cost 1500, 2000 or 3000 tp.
From my PLD's perpective, it sure would be nice to open up with my "big three" combo when I'm out and about.

The way it sounds like to me, I envision that "final quest battles" will definitely have to be significantly harder than your run o' the mill monster since everyone has full TP at start. This could make combat as a whole more interesting. It also DOES sound a bit like stamina is coming back in a way, but instead of waiting for a gauge to refill, it's your attacks filling your TP(which really isn't different from any other game I guess).
On the plus side, think of how awesome it'll be to just unload an awesome weapon skill on a much weaker mob like a badass from the start instead of the current poke it with your sword a few times, then if it ain't dead, hammer it.

1000 is the max regen out of combat. in battle it will stell be 3000 i suppose O.oFrom the details I have so far, I like it. Obviously things are going to get adjusted from how they currently are. After all, new TP max is 1000, and I have quite a few skills that cost 1500, 2000 or 3000 tp.

Doesn't look like it. The Menus show 1000/1000 everywhere. Also they said that you start the battle with "full tp bar", not "with 1000 tp".

How i see it in the better video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mos6_mQcR78 )
TP regen during battle: 30 TP each ~4 seconds
TP regen outside of battle: 100 TP each ~4 seconds

Off course everything will be adjusted. There is really no point in discussing about small details so early. Remember when we had luck stat and timming gauge on the first alpha? Look what happened after... All of that got scrapped. From the details I have so far, I like it. Obviously things are going to get adjusted from how they currently are. So many other things got adjusted as well between alpha and beta.

Damn, yeah I didn't see that in the other video probably because of the quality. I'm fine with it either way, just sucks it doesn't seem we'll have any control over our TP regen outside of maybe a few stats like Store TP.How i see it in the better video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mos6_mQcR78 )
TP regen during battle: 30 TP each ~4 seconds
TP regen outside of battle: 100 TP each ~4 seconds

Thinking about this whole TP regen thing, it's really not all that bad. I mean currently we get TP back as a result of landing a hit on an enemy. The amount we get back is based on our delay. So all classes would get the same amount of TP in roughly the same time, mostly depending on delay times lining up. Having it auto-regen means that everyone is on an even playing field in that regard and missing the enemy does not hurt you TP wise. It's really very similar to what we have now, we just gain TP in a slightly different way.
Edit: Also post 3000, awesome![]()

Increase the speed of combat while also increasing mob HP and the need for strategy sounds like the perfect recipe for a fun game.
