The live letters have long since lost their actual use as being something that people could directly ask questions about and get on the spot answers

At this point just dump it and post a prerecorded video of intended points in every supported language

I wonder how many subs they might have failed to keep today because of a rushed unofficial translation and misrepresentation again of the unofficial translation.

Just gonna be frank here - if someone actually unsubs because of not having a formal translator for an LL...they're already at the point they're so jaded that they weren't going to remain subbed, anyway.

Untranslated Live Letters were cute when we all thought this team was the scrappy underdog, but at this point it is ridiculous they can't just do a pre-recorded stream with an English dub. I don't even care if they have someone else presenting, Yoshi P on screen waving around sheets of paper and switching between a webcam and a 2009 Sony Handicam isn't cute anymore.

Or they could copy Kojima and his translator (Aki Saito) style. Dude even "translate" kojima's laugh/chuckle. Maybe it is scripted, but who cares tbh? PLL is generally scripted as well.
