You're so preciousWith their promise to enforce better moderation and ban insults, Yoshi-P should ban himself for basically telling every paying customer that making a normal Forked Tower costed too much (whatever "cost" would mean).
I mean, we all know FFXIV is the game that support SE (mmo subdivision - which is mostly XIV - is 65% of the whole gaming division income and 50% of entire SE income), yet they had the audacity to say to 80% of their playerbase to go eat bricks. That's insulting.

" Indeed, Yoshida says Final Fantasy 14 is the most profitable title in the Final Fantasy series. "It's perhaps unbecoming of me to say but in terms of our business, we've been able to achieve great success. Moving forward, we're going to spare no expense with our investments to ensure that this game continues to be one which our players can enjoy." "
Dunno why he's the director, they should move him to PR instead because he's a master of it.https://www.ign.com/articles/final-f...ost-profitable

I appreciate their honesty but yeah, telling a playerbase that was looking forward to a CLL or Dalriada that could be enjoyed by the majority that you had a choice and you chose to make the more exclusionary version is not a good look.
Most likely we'll be able to PF this in 7.3 but it's still going to be out of the realm of a majority of the playerbase like Chaotic was. I'm considering not even doing it then because I just don't want to contribute to clear numbers and encourage that mentality. We on the harder content spectrum get plenty and casual and midcore really need to get content, too. Plus it's also a place where we can let our hair down and not have to worry so badly about all the things we have worry about in hardcore content.
Based Yoshi-P
One would think Square-Enix would at least to some extent know what gamers want, having had several successful games in the past... But they seem to refuse to take notes from their own successes.
I feel like if the current forked tower could just be queue'd for, it would be effectively "normal." It's really easy... a lot of people are clearing who don't do savage or ultimates.
On brand behavior.
I suppose we've jumped from telling people that want engaging gameplay to eat bricks (or play ultimate).... To telling people that want another difficulty level to eat bricks (or wait their turn, aka several more months)
