Who cares about Ultimate in 7.3. This game has larger problems right now.

but in reality, they're much more than just content for the 1% of raiders. They're also large social media content, viewership content, engagement with the larger community content. Just because you don't play in the NFL doesn't mean you can't enjoy an NFL game.
Regardless of how people feel about ultimate as a content piece, my main argument today is that SE needs to change their timelines for actual announcements of said content.
I would've had no issues if we knew back before 7.2 or even with a few weeks of 7.2 release that there was no 7.3 ultimate. That way I wouldn't have wasted my time and energy organizing a HC static with 8 weeks of splits to account for alt jobs and gearing, not to mention the actual time spent doing the splits themselves
Right but people enjoy football, plus you can bet on it.but in reality, they're much more than just content for the 1% of raiders. Why would anyone watch someone playing a video game instead of playing the game themselves?

1. Because many people don't consider themselves able to do Ultimates. And it's not even necessarily due to skill, but rather due to time or the challenging process of getting 7 others to do it at the same times who won't all fight with eachother or be unable to do it.
2. Streams are really about the person playing, not what they are playing. They can make it boring or fun by their own personality or character and their associated reactions to events, or they can make it interesting by discussing philosophical or political issues.
3. Talk about the game with others who care about it, or meet other people - and sometimes people meet others through a stream chat or its discord, or even end up playing with the streamer.
4. If you can't play, such as due to being away from a PC or it is broken, and just have a mobile device.
5. Your example is like saying why not play football instead of watch it. Both happen and that's really that.
The moonbase content is irrelevant to 99.999% of the community only 2 months after its release. Noone is doing it, all instances are empty. I bet more people attempt old ults per day, then people that spend crafting/gathering on the moon or the 6.x island
ults are probably the most replayed content that this game has to offer
that’s not correct
Because it highlights a major concern: inconsistency and unpredictability with release windows.
Aside from TEA, which was impacted by the pandemic and was therefore the sole release during ShB, all Ultimates have released during the X.1 and X.3 patch cycles. It's not unreasonable for players to have anticipated this upcoming patch would have the next one, but the devs frequently decide to switch up their content drops without warning. It's impossible to anticipate when anything is coming out anymore.
You mean they are not following a strict and set pattern for updates, the thing that ppl complain about and want them to change the most? And it is still entirely predictable since outside of Ulti there was absolutely no change from other x.3 updates. Hard raiders have been spoiled like crazy this expac and it shows with comments like this.Because it highlights a major concern: inconsistency and unpredictability with release windows.
