That guide is incorrect the third set of mobs will always pop now regardless if you kill first two fast enough.
and i dont want to see link of 3 blm video but thanks if you were going to suggest it ^^
edit: 3blm 1war looks like the way to go though >.< even though that itself is exploiting the game some what, i think they made this leve too hard lol

Yes the old guides/strats/videos are outdated since 1.23 since they patched it so you will now get 3 waves regardless.
I feel it was already the hardest of the 7 leves before the patch and now, in my opinion it is harder than the ifrit battle itself.
We tried many different strategies, the one that ultimately won for us believe it or not was WAR WHMx3. Each WHM would take turns casting Holyx2 (via Presence of Mind) on each wave. The WAR would Steel Cyclone & other WHMs cast Aerora.
It was still very close and not sure how feasible this strat is to the general public since all 3 of the WHMs had finished Relic weapons so their Holy damage was increased. After the 3 waves were dead, we would run out to shed hate, have 1 swap to BLM and 1 to WAR.
I have seen many groups try with 3 BLM and leashing them back and forth, but I feel this cant be the intended mechanic and seems to be very luck based anyway whether you can even come close to finishing them off this way in time.
Yeah we've tried the 3 whm method you described earlier and it's just not enough to take down the adds for us.. but for the 3blm method we've just seen a group go in with and beat it twice so i have hopes in beating it soon.Yes the old guides/strats/videos are outdated since 1.23 since they patched it so you will now get 3 waves regardless.

This leve is most certainly the most difficult but if you're using the 3 blm method it's mostly about execution, three firiga and the crit ability is enough to take down one wave of mobs.
When I did it to help an LS mate we did 2 BLM, 1 THM, 1 WAR, and changed to: WAR WAR WAR WHM for last mob.
Won with about 35 seconds left.
Also: try rotating resonance pulls when the WAR is recovering HP (after a few pulls or so).
Edit: This leve is not by far the hardest... you obviously have not done the Monk / BLM FNM.
I have done all of them. Multiple times. BLM leve is challenging but not to this extent. MNK leve is a joke. When I did it to help an LS mate we did 2 BLM, 1 THM, 1 WAR, and changed to: WAR WAR WAR WHM for last mob.

If you are trying to do the leve as "SE Intended" then the setup is more than likely pld, war, blm, whm. A warrior simply cannot tank these things and I think that is a big error alot of people are making when trying to do this leve. The mobs die fairly quickly, I would assume that the strategy was intended to be something like PLD Flash, establish hate quickly War and blm spam AoEs to burn them down. I honestly don't know how what the survivability of a paladin is on these things but the bottom line is a warrior will die in about 3 seconds even if they put sentinel up. You would have to rely on block rate to keep you alive and avoid using an AoE when they are all crouching and once they are all down you can have the war tank the mage nm and have the pld tank the other. If that doesnt work then 2 whm a pld and a warrior would be my next guess.
The big thing to know about this leve is that if you can keep all of the mobs in the same spot for even a brief period of time and entire wave can be completely eradicated and alot of people are timing out because they keep resetting hate. Will this work? I have no idea, but its the only viable strategy I can think of that SE could have possibly intended for it since the kobolds tear through a warrior like a wet piece of paper. Also note, THE KOBOLDS CAN BE SLEPT. It is very easy, one sleepga with darkseal will sleep just about every kobold it hits but they do build resistance quickly. Take that for what its worth.

I having problme everytime i do this, another group also doing :/ u know what i mean
We were doing this the other night and a certain someones linkshell (*cough* crimzon *cough*) came and did it at the same time which basically caused us to kill the nm half a second after the leve ended because there were 20 mobs on top of us and we couldnt see what the hell was going on. As crappy as it was though I wasn't really mad because the fact these things aren't instanced is a really bad design plan on SEs part all together though. Same thing goes for princess.
